Hello Dr. I am taking depran 10 for depression anxiety since last 16 years .know I am having problem in my left arm. Ill do blood test such as lipid profile sugar etc every thing is normal. Now Dr. change my med he give me depran 10 along with amitriptyline 25 mg clorozipoxide 10 mg. Dr. I wanted 2 know is ths right med 4 me or it have any side effect regarding sex. I am married man & I have 3 children & my age is about 43 .pls Dr. suggest me as se. Thanking you.

Of course taking Depran for a long time may cause reduced sex drive/desire in SOME INDIVIDUALS not for all the patients taking it. Fortunately your blood tests results are normal according to you. It seems that your body chemistry has well-tolerated the drug escitalopram (Depran). Probably you are searching for some knowledge about the drugs you are on and too much concerned with the side effects. You need not worry about it. Just stick to your doctors advice/treatment. If you go deep into gathering knowledge about the drugs, you will be in trouble like psychogenic erectile dysfunction because the unnecessary anxieties produced by the fearful thoughts. Just relax. Have any form of physical exercises regularly with healthy diet and engage in activities that are positive and you enjoy more.
