My son has swine flu and treatment has started for that. My wife n me also been given protective dose for swine flu. I am ok. My wife has severe cough n body ache for which I am giving her combiflam thrice a day but she is feeling very sick. Do you suggest anything else for her betterment.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, you have mentioned that your wife is having'severe' cough and feeling very sick'.These are suggestive of the prodromal or early stage of viral illness. Since you have a strong history of exposure to swine flu from your son, I would advice you to complete the anti viral course, you started as a prophylactic measure. Rather than wait and watch. Swine flu can progress rapidly depending on each individuals immunity levels. Have a complete consultation and investigations including a chest xray and viral markers test and start the antivirals earliest.
