Dear Doctors, I have been getting black stools for twice a week but the colour of the stools is not fully black it is brown & black at the same time. During the night time I feel a bit cold & body warm but after checking the temperature its normal. And after passing urine the warmness disappears. Please advice me.

Hi, Black stools is an alarming condition. It indicates internal bleeding in the small intestine. Therefore, please do an upper GI endoscopy to find out the bleeding ulcer location. Avoid hot and spicy food. Be on Bland diet. Drink plenty of water. Avoid coffee and tea. Consult a general surgeon at the earliest for further treatment.
