I am 71 years old, 5' 3" in height, and 50 kg weight. Since last 8 years, I my wt. Loss is 6 kg. I walk 4 km, brisk walk, do yogasanas for 1 hr and pranayama for 45 minutes. I look too weak, but I am active throughout the day, sound sleep for 6 to 7 hrs, no illness, except constipancy and gases. Please advise me to gain at least 5 kg weight strictly vegetarian.

Hello Lybrate user, as per your age it better to maintain a constant weight, and so your digestive system. I strictly advice you to maintain the weight than gaining. All other activities are good. To achieve both adopt these changes ---- 1) have 100 ml of warm water mixed with 1/2tsp of ajwain powder daily twice before food. 2) soak 20 groundnuts and 5badam whole night in water and have them in empty stomach. Stop if you are consuming water in early morning. Thank you.
