Dear Lybrate User, Nothing to be worried of! Your gums are bleeding as they might be inflamed and suffering from what is known as Gingivitis. Improper oral hygiene is the most common cause leading to bleeding gums. You should brush your teeth twice a day, especially at night, before going to bed. Include more of Vitamin-C in your diet from natural sources like, lemons, gooseberries (amla), oranges and other citrus fruits. Rinse your mouth with lukewarm water with a pinch of salt added to it, 3-4 times/day. You can use a mouthwash too that should be used thrice a week. It would be better if you get yourself examined by a dentist so that he can visually inspect your teeth and gums and advice you any treatment, if required. Clean your tongue regularly to get rid of the bad breath. Happy Smiling!
