Clinical Reports show Vitamin B12 is 2000, seems very high, and Hemoglobin in 7.7 and RBC count 2.8 are low. Please advise the right medicine and its usage for normally for Hemoglobin and B 12. Local physician advised "Orofer XT" which is a composition of Element of Iron 100 mg and Folic Acid 1.1.mg. Is it a suitable medicine to maintain the level of Hemoglobin?

Range of vitamin B12 levels in humans is considered as normal: >300 pg/mL; moderate deficiency: 201?300 pg/mL; and severe deficiency: <201 pg/mL. Serum vitamin B12 tests results are in pg/mL (picograms/milliliter) or pmol/L (picomoles/liter). Orofer XT is a suitable medicine to maintain the level of Hemoglobin. . Orofer

There r several causes for high B12, ie it is not beeing utilized by body. Go to clinical hematologist, who can investigate for the cause of high B 12.
