I lost somebody close last year and since then I feel very depressed and prefer to keep myself at all the time. Please help me.

I am sorry about your loss. You seem to be going thro "grief reaction" which is normal and experienced by all after loss of loved one. If the relationship was unpleasant and in turmoil then the grief can be prolonged and become depressive illness. I would suggest you work thro this loss by talking to friends and family, and explore your feeling. OfCourse that can be difficult sometimes, therefore seeing an independent and objective psychologist or psychiatric consultation may be helpful.
