Hi doctor, 1 year back, I had a little scratch through earbud on eardrum, which I did not have any infection, it is healed and no mark is there for that scratch. I have already taken tuning fork test two times to my ENT. I just want to confirm that is there any impact on hearing or it is as good as earlier. Do I need to worry?

Outside ear cannal (what you can access for scratch ing )is not the hearing main box. That is deep inside (middle ear and inner ear. What can happen you can accidentally make a hole in ear drum (partition between outer ear and middle ear ).as you already consulted to a ent specialist .i think that is not the case, neither there is any infection currently .so don't need to worry. But you should leave that scratch ing habit for future safety.
