Dear Lybrateuser, - To keep fit & to build your body you have to have a well balanced diet including all the food groups & not only proteins, also do regular exercise - in a balanced diet you should include fruits, vegetables, whole grains like whole wheat, brown rice, protein rich foods like eggs, non veg, milk & milk products like cheese, paneer, yogurt, also beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts & nuts contain lot of proteins - add a protein food with a carbohydrate (rice, chapati) in each meal, also have a protein snack between each meal or whenever you feel hungry, have a variety of foods & not only one type, chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time - along with a nutritious diet you require to do regular exercise like jogging, swimming, playing an outdoor game, do moderate weight lifting for 15-20 min 2-3 times a week which will help build your muscles & you will feel more energetic - also have 8-10 glasses of water or more depending on how much you sweat during excercises & for proper hydration.
