During pregnancy gums become very delicate and you did mention how many months. In 1st and 3rd trimester your not suppose to take any dental treatments, so best is lukewarm water and salt rinsing in the mouth can stop bleeding gums.

Dear, pain and bleeding from gums can be a sign of infection in the gums. Commonly it is seen due to inadequate oral hygiene measures and it can get aggravated during pregnancy. However there is nothing to worry. My advise to you would be to consult a dentist who can examine her and do the needful. In the meantime ask your wife to brush after every meal, do gargle with warm saline water (3-4 times daily), and use dental floss if possible to keep her mouth clean. Hope this helps. All the best.
