My mother (age 51, weight 70) has Rheumatoid Arthritis and she recently (12/6/2017) undergone for TKR of right knee. She has CRP =40, ESR =100 and anti CCP = >200. As ashwagandha is known to reduce the inflammation and can help in reducing pain. Can I give Ashwagandha powder or capsule to my mother after surgery with other medicines like cetil 500, gabapentin, ultracet, metformin 500, stamlo 5 mg, calcium and iron tablets.

Thanks for contacting with your health concern and since she is already under expert supervision, under no circumstances you should stop/taper/add any drug without first consulting your attending physician 1. I usually give my patient (s) the same drug [in capsule form] along with other herbs [with positive results and feedback] which helps alleviate symptoms and provide relief in signs of inflammation.
