Hi Lybrate user
First and foremost brushing should be done at least twice daily. And coming to your point yellowing may be due to plaque and calculus. It can be best cleaned off by your dentist and yes do go for polishing after scaling.
Dear Lybrate user, You should brush your teeth twice daily. Mouthwash can only assist tooth brushing in keeping teeth clean but not replace tooth brushing. Please visit a dentist as you may need scaling and polishing.
Brush twice a day with proper technique. Don't excessively use mouth wash which itself will cause staining. Avoid good that can cause staining like food containing turmeric, or tea and coffee. Eat food which will help to clense teeth like carrots, raddish, apple. Most importantly visit your dentist once in year for routine checkup.
