Hello doctor. I recently had sex (without protection) with a partner who is suffering from human papilloma virus. And I do not know what are the symptoms. Or is it really very serious. And which doctor should I consult personally being a male. And what are the necessary steps I should take now. Also what are the medicines I can take. Or is there any sort of scan which we can do to get this checked. And is HIV test recommended or not? Please reply me with the best answer to get rid of this. Also. Please let me know which doctor should I go personally if you know anybody personally. Thank you.

Dear lybrate-user, Thanks for consulting. You need to get HIV, Hep B and VDRL tests done, Urine Routine as well. There is nothing to be done, till you actually have HPV infection - most common being Warts. For prevetion you can take vaccines. Pl. Take a private consult, so that your several queries could be answered.
