Hello Lybrate user
If wisdom tooth is causing discomfort and is not erupting in proper position (read as impacted), it has to be removed by a skilled dentist. All other alternate methods may give temporary relief but problem will replapse.
If the tooth is in line of occlusion which means is helpful in chewing food and is restorable condition then it can be saved. But if its not the case as mentioned previously if its in to bone partially or not erupted completely you can go for extraction.
Hello Mr. lybrate-user
wisdom tooth are the only tooth in the mouth for which the dentists advice for extraction/ removal. These teeth are rarely in normal position as other teeth due to which they create many problems like cheek biting, food lodgement, decay to neibouring tooth, crowding of teeth, pain on opening and closing mouth .since these teeth are the last tooth in the back region so cleaning is also difficult.
So better to get them removed at an early age to avoid the above problems later.
If your Wisdom tooth is paining or it is decayed (carious)
The Best Option is to get it removed
Any other treatment If Done Like Root Canal Or Filling
Than Its difficult to clean it regularly by brushing as the brush does not reach the portion every time
so the best option is to get it removed
For more information visit a near by dentist.
Well it all depends on the position of your tooth in your mouth and position of tooth in the bone. If looking inside your mouth, together with x-ray reports ;the dentist finds out that the tooth will eventually erupt, he/she may advise not to extract. But if it's not in proper/correct position inside your mouth, you need to get it extracted.
If it is not in place and impacting on others or is very painful then you may have to remove it..
But if it is coming out and you are feeling pain for that then you may take homoeopathic medicine Mag Carb 30 tds... will help in smooth eruption of teeth.
