Hi You should take supplements for Vit B12 if this is the case. Food items like fortified cereals, milk, soy, yoghurt, swiss cheese can be taken as they are rich in Vit B12.

Low vitamin is very common cause of this kind of pain. It should go away with vitamin supplements, exercise and physiotherapy. If the pain still persists you need to undergo tests for arthritis.
