Hi, I'm sorry to learn about your problem. The ideal criterion for a doctor to complete an RCT is NO PAIN -- WITHOUT ANY MEDICINES FOR AT LEAST 72 HRS. The RCT should be completed with this protocol. If you have chosen to go for a single sitting RCT, pain may last for around 5 days and you may take routine painkillers for that. If you have undergone the treatment with multiple appointments, get an x-ray done to check if any of the canals has been missed. Also, check for any underlying infection or unhealed lesion. You can send it to me, too. Don't rely on medicines for so long. Take care. Thanks.

Hi. The nerve from inside yourtooth had been cleaned out and removed but there are nerve ending in the ligament that surrounds her tooth. When there is inflammation and swelling caused by a sick tooth, this ligament can also be swollen and sick. It takes some time for that swelling to reduce and the tissue be normal again after the root canal is completed. That is likely the cause of her pain and after several days it should feel much better.

Pain doesn't go as soon as RCT is completed, it takes time, kindly have some patience and wait, if you have pain even after 15 days or one month then have to follow up with your doctor.
