Exclusive breastfeeding is essential for good health. If growth on chart is normal, passing good amount of urine, then crying may not be because of the hunger but because of emotional needs which child can't convey. Just talk to her, play with her and provide her comfort.

Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for upto 6 months, if you feel you are not getting enough milk you can try one of these methods 1) give lot of kangaroo mother care which makes you to get good amount of milk 2) drink lot of water (3litre/day) and have a nutritional diet. 3) you can take lactare capsules daily after consulting a doctor. If you feel still not getting enough milk then you can give dexolac to your baby after breastfeeding as the baby demands. Don't give cow milk as it contains high protein and some times there can be allergic reaction to it. So generally we do not recommend cow milk untill 1 year of age.
