I am male, 52 years old. I am under diabetic control thru medicines since last 5 yrs. I am otherwise healthy and active. I am a regular alcoholic, but very moderate quota (for eg max 1 bottle of beer a day. I have noticed that my Total cholesterol is in 60's since last 4 yrs. I am very conscious about my daily diet and walks. My LIver SGOT / SGPT is normal, so is the CRP. 6 months bac I had a fibroscan reading of 14 after which I have drastically cut down my alcohol intake. Should I bother about my cholesterol? What should I do to increase it to say 120-150 levels. What benefits can I hope with 120-150 levels?
