Sir, I am a diabetic since last 22 years with blood pressure. Taking huminsulin 50: 50 37 units in morning and 35 units in evening. Amryl 3, jalra 50 and telma 40 in morning and still have uncontrolled blood sugar. I am the patient of hyper acidity and daily takes pantocid dsr in morning still feel breathlessness frequently. I take home made food only with minimum spices and fat.

Breathlessness in person with diabetes and hypertension has to be investigated as you could be having heart problem (CHF. When you are taking mix insulin in twice daily doses you should not take Amaryl. Adjust your insulin doses as per your blood sugar level. Get your morning fasting and evening pre dinner blood sugar tests records. Both should be between 70-100 mg/dl For morning blood sugar adjust evening insulin dose For evening blood sugar adjust morning insulin dose 70-100 same dose 101-199 Increase by 2 units >200 increase by 4 units If hypoglycemia or blood sugar < 70 decrease insulin by 2 units.
