We know that too much intake of salt is bad, but question is how much is too much? An ordinary person takes salt for taste. He uses his common sense to determine how much is too much. Excess of salt spoils taste. Similarly less of salt also makes it untasty. Food to be tasty requires exact amount of salt, which may vary slightly from person to person. Another point is that usually by salt we mean common salt. But is it available from other sources? And how to take that into consideration to determine whether salt intake is too much.

Hello, it is right that every person has salt according to his / her taste. If you have high B.P. problems, or even otherwise, excess salt includes having pickles with food daily, having papad regularly, having too much namkeens like chips, samosas, aloo bhujias, chaat which contributes to excess salt.
