My father who is 90 years old has one foot area swollen for almost 18 days. There is slight pain sometimes and swelling comes and goes off. Whom do we consult?

This is quite a common problem that the elderly have. Usually, it is because of age- related inefficiency of the veins of the feet, ankle & legs. Assuming your father doesn't have any serious medical ailments, I suggest you urge him to keep his legs elevated when he has to sit for long periods. Also, tell him to twirl his toes & rotate his ankles more often (if it isn't painful) when seated.
