I had laparoscopic appendectomy; and I took 6 week rest with out going to gym so can I start my workout with body weight abdominal exercises.

According to me, you should not work out with abdominal exercises so soon. Start with light physical work, drink lots of water. Start some deep breathing exercises to tone up the muscles for fast revovery. Atleast you should wait for 3 months to recover totally.
