Throat cancer can occur in larynx, oropharynx and hypopharynx. You didn't mention the specific site. Primary treatment for these sites is chemoradiotherapy. However prognosis depends on site. Survival after treatment is good for oropharynx and laryngopharynx, worse for hypopharynx. At 75 yrs of age, probably only radiotherapy will be given. Of his general condition is good, then go with radiotherapy. This is the only chance of cure.
