Hi sir A month ago ,I chugged about 7 ounces of 8% wine. I felt a bit aggressive but I was in control Next morning ,I had a hangover and gross confusion I could not easily recall familiar places and had memory problems I feel now better but still have memory problems .I went to a doctor and he said it isn't serious and it will go away .But I want to know what happened because it is affecting my daily life Thank. you.

Hi lybrate-user Alcohol can lead to various problems so first of all you should stop alcohol intake You seem to have suffered from Wernicke-korskoff syndrome You need thiamine and vitamin b12 supplementation If the symptoms are severe you can go ahead with injectable formulations Alcohol makes you deficient in most of the vitamins also affects your liver So stay away from alcohol take a good diet along with supplements for vitamins (thiamine, b12 and d)
