Im Drinking water before motion. Sometime motion is hard and sometime loose motion. Im fearing I would get piles. Im having vit d and b12 and folate deficiency. Does this ensure for piles. Please advise how to prevent it.

Add a lot of roughage to your diet in the form of green leafy vegetables fruits dal and eggs (if you are okay with eggs. Avoid junk food ,smoking and coffee No these deficiencies do not lead to piles, however having frequent hard stools might lead to fissure in the anal area. Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Not that everyone who gets constipated or has hard stools gets hemorrhoids (pilles). But most often over straining, badly constipated stools are possible reasons. Precautions to be taken are_ Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, fruits, salads. Avoid highly spicy foods, take plenty of water and juices. Develop good bowel habits, visit the toilet as you get the urge. Do not allow stools to become hard. Some times with all the precautions still hemorrhoids do develop. Thanks.
