Hello lybrate-user, Yes its not true always, but can damage your knees if your diet is not proper. Doing exercise is good for health but with age there occur deficiency of Vitamin D level and calcium levels in body and also your protein intake should be adequate. If level of nutrition is good then nothing is going to harm you.
