My father is a 62 year old male who got the following results. Fasting blood sugar - 105, PP - 132, total cholesterol 160, urea 28, creatinine 1.2, uric acid 5.6. Please tell whether these levels are normal for his age? Any diet to be followed? I am concerned about prediabetes and urea and creatinine level? Please advice.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Your fathers results are normal for his age - his diet should consist of more of fibrous foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy, lean meats, nuts, legumes including lentils, beans, pulses, sprouts - he should have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals, do not skip meals, have meals on time - avoid fried, spicy, processed & junk foods - have 7-8 glasses of water for proper digestion - do regular exercise like walking for 20-30 min, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily morning to keep fit.
