I coloured my hair since last 15 years. I feel my hair going to be dull and feel loss of some hairs. I often change my colour after 1 to 2 years. I use matrix dark brown colour these days which contains ammonia in it. Is it safe for me. Or I should use ammonia free colour. What should I do for to prevent my hair loss and dullness. Please suggest me any colour and some treatments or home remedies or diet. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user. Main culprits in hair colors which cause hair loss are additives specially PPD and not ammonia. All synthetic colors have PPD even if they are ammonia free. Consult dermatologist for ppd free hair colors, besides that do regular oiling for your hairs and include more proteins in your diet. Hope it helped you. Stay healthy.
