I am close to 50 years (male, 80 kgs, 5'8) diabetic and commute 10 km each way by a bicycle to the workplace. The energy to pedal fast is not there. Should I be giving up?

Mr Ram, Thanks for the query. If your diabetes is well controlled with fasting blood glucose <100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HBA1c%<6.8, then there should be no problem of having less energy. Since no information is given about blood glucose or diabetes control, it is difficult to give an opinion. At 49 years you are too young to complain about "lack of energy". Thanks.
