Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part & all blood & urine reports. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Sir,I have been suffering from lambar spine problem for the past 6 years.I am 38.When ever I sit for more than 15 min or ride bike ,I get severe pain and radiation on buttocks and both sides of back.I tried allopathy for 3 years under the treatment of good neurologists and homeopathy for 3 years .They all consider it a minor problem.Only a little bit of relief. I am doing physiotherapist suggested exercises. But no improvement. I am seeing hell of a pain and radiation. Is there any permanent cure to this painful disease? Pls suggest me a way out.

Dear friend, dont worry ask you physiotherapist to lumbar traction and ift therapy for 15 days. Dont do any exercise in this time. Once you decrease pain then you start gradual exercise but not heavy.

In my btech I had many back papers and I had been in huge stress due to it. It developed negative thoughts in me about myself. Now when I try to study for competitions I feel stress and not able to focus on study .sometimes heartbeat increases. It doesn't happen when I read some thing for interest other than competitive study material. How can I overcome. This fear and stress. So that I can prepare for competition like a common person.

Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.

Hi, I am 29, male and feeling neck pain (stiff neck). Today I got x-ray of cervical spine ap & lateral view and found that" marginal squaring of vertebral and plates with pointing at joints of luschaka noted b/l c4-c6 with no definite posterior osteo-phytosis" borderline degenerative changes noted in basic views of cervical pain. Hello Mr. Prs, having trouble in movement and difficulty in eating properly suggests there is some problem in the brain. I would suggest that you meet a neurologist near you as early as you can as whatever it is, needs to be found out and acted upon. Please don't delay as prompt treatment can reverse your symptoms.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as your problem. If you have only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc if you do not improve in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate you further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Yeah definitely exercises helps you to strengthen the shoulder especially the triceps muscle which is very important for bowling actions and also the deltoid muscles. It can be strengthened by using dumbbellsor sand bags with 1.5 - 2 kg resistance.

MY stomach has been feeling bloated for a week. Recently, I've been getting pain below my belly button. At first I was getting extremely bad lower back pain and when I drank water could feel the weight of the water on my lower back for a few seconds which worsened the pain for those few seconds. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Why Do I Get Knots in Muscles in Neck and Back ?

What are muscle knots?
Muscle knots are points within a muscle where contracted fibers are unable to release, or, as the dictionary puts it: highly irritable localized spots of exquisite tenderness in a nodule in palpable taunt bands of muscle tissue.

A common problem for active people, muscle knots technically called myofascial trigger points, or mtps feel like a small knot to your fingertips. These knots can range from the size of a pinhead in smaller muscles to the size of your thumb in larger muscles. 2

Muscle knots can cause pain in two ways: (1) latent trigger points, which are knots that only hurt when you put pressure on them, and (2) active trigger points, which are knots that actively refer pain along your neural pathways, causing it in non-localized areas.

Trigger points in a constant state of contraction have excess metabolic waste and oxygen use because blood flow to this area stops this sends pain signals to the brain. Because your brain wants to stop the pain, it commands the muscle to rest, which leads to under-usage of the muscle. This is what makes the muscle shorten and tighten up.

What causes muscle knots?
The most common causes of muscle knots are:

1) accidents acute trauma, such as bad falls sports injuries that strain you joints and muscles

2) postural stress sitting too long with poor posture, sitting with no support, lifting improperly

3) overstimulation
