There is hardly any person who does not want to enjoy a healthy and satisfying sex life. As per Ayurveda, a healthy sex life is very much a reality provided one diligently follows the golden sex rules as mentioned in various Ayurvedic books and journals:

  1. Ayurveda believes that a couple should refrain from having sex when the female partner is having her periods. Some health experts are of the belief that sex during periods may give rise to a condition termed as Endometriosis (the endometrial cells grow outside the uterus, often in the ovary or the fallopian tubes).
  2. According to Ayurveda, an ideal sex position is one where the woman is lying with her face directed in an upward position.
  3. Ayurveda also believes very overweight or obese people should avoid having sex.
  4. Have sex only when your private parts are clean and healthy (as this helps to prevent infections and associated complications).
  5. According to Ayurveda, loyalty and faithfulness are what gets a relationship going. Infidelity, adultery, or cheating on your wife is a crime that will only spell doom.
  6. Ayurveda is against a couple having sex during pregnancy or immediately after delivery. One should have control over their urges. It further states that a 5-months time in the case of a C-section and 2-3 months interval in the case of a normal delivery will go a long way in ensuring a healthy sex life (will help the woman to recover well).
  7. Ayurveda is vehemently opposes violent sex. Making love is suppose to soothe your soul rather than scar it. Violence during sex is not healthy at all.
  8. Ayurveda believes in having sex using sexual organs. Thus, oral sex and other similar pleasures are a big No as per Ayurveda.
  9. Ayurveda does not advocate the practice of having sex on days of prime significance such as festivals, various eclipses, on a full moon or new moon nights, to name a few.
  10. Sex on empty stomach or after a heavy meal can trigger a plethora of health problems by causing a Vata and Pitta imbalance. The imbalance may give rise to digestive problems, headache, gastritis.
  11. Ayurveda is strictly against the idea of having sex with aged women or with children.
  12. Always have sex when both the partners are in a comfortable position. This is to ensure that you enjoy the intercourse sans any injury.
  13. Never have sex if you are sick or physically and mentally not fit.
  14. Having sex with animals (bestiality) is considered unhealthy as per Ayurveda.
  15. Sex is not a wise idea when you have to lighten yourself (defecate or urinate).
  16. According to Ayurveda, your sex life is governed by the four seasons during which your body strength changes.
    • The body strength is the lowest during the monsoon and summer, hence have less sex during that time (once in fifteen days).
    • With moderate body strength, sex once in three days is advisable during spring and summer.
    • During winter the body strength is at its peak, hence one can have sex daily.

Vajikaran Chikitsa

Apart from regular exercise and proper nutrition, there are various herbs that can go a long way in boosting your sex life. Few of them include shilajit, ashwagandha, swarn bhasma, jaiphal, and kesar; let us understand how each one is beneficial.

  1. Shilajit works excellently in increasing the stamina, this is why it is known as Indian Viagra. It helps in improving sexual performance and dealing with weakness.
  2. Ashwagandha is another herb that helps in improving the sexual desire and dealing with infertility in men.
  3. Swarn bhasma is known to be one of the best medicine for treating sexual problems like low libido and premature ejaculation in men. It also helps in treating sexual weakness.
  4. Jaiphal works best in dealing with premature ejaculation. It also helps in enhancing sex life and is known as Viagra for women. Its aroma is often used to arouse sexual desires and can help you get relaxed before engaging in a sexual act.
  5. Kesar can go a long way in improving the overall performance in bed. Mixing it with milk can do wonders in 'turning on' your partner, thus improving the sex life.

Dizziness is usually described as a variety of sensations, which comprise of a feeling of faintness, unsteady, weak, light-headed, giddy or woozy. When dizziness causes a false feeling of spinning and the moving surroundings, it is known as vertigo.

Dizziness can be one of the most common reasons for a visit to the doctor. However, constant feeling of dizziness can affect a person's life drastically, but it is rarely life threatening. The treatment of dizzy sensation and dizziness mostly depends on the symptoms. 

Causes of Dizziness 

The common causes of dizziness are hypertension, certain medication, motion sickness and ear problems, especially disturbances of the inner ear. An injury, infection or poor blood circulation can also lead to dizziness. The triggers of dizziness and the sensations it provides are used to evaluate the cause. Also, the duration of the dizziness and the symptoms lead to a clue towards the cause of the same. 

Dizziness Caused by the Inner Ear Problems 

The balance of the body depends on the combined effort of many parts of the sensory system. These are:

  1. Sensory Nerves: These send messages to the brain in regard to the body positions and its movements 
  2. Inner Ear: The inner ear has the organ of Corti which are responsible for detecting the motions and thereby help in the balance of the body.

In vertigo a person might feel that the things around them are moving, thus creating a swaying or a spinning motion. Vertigo is usually caused by the problems of the inner ear. 

The common causes are:

  1. Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), this happens when the calcium particles accumulate in the inner ear canals. The inner ear is responsible for the body movements and balance. 
  2. Meniere's disease, a problem of the inner ear mainly caused by the build up of the fluids, thereby leading to a change in pressure. This causes vertigo along with hearing loss and tinnitus
  3. Vestibular neuritis is the problem of the inner ear and is largely due to infection. Infection leads to swelling of the nerves of the inner ear which affect the body movements.

Treatment of Vertigo Includes:

  1. Rehabilitation of the vestibular system by physical therapy in order to strengthen it. 
  2. Canalolith repositioning exercises - body and head movements basically for BPPV. These movements help to move the Canaloliths(calcium deposits) from the inner ear canals to one of the chambers, which are further absorbed by the body. When the Canaloliths move, it might give rise to vertigo. 
  3. Medicines are given to relieve symptoms of motion sickness and nausea. Antibiotics can be taken in case of infection and swelling
  4. Surgery in some cases.

Load your plate with fruits and vegetables -- five to nine servings a day -- to help lower LDL "bad" cholesterol. Antioxidants in these foods may provide the benefit. Or it may be that when we eat more fruits and veggies, we eat less fatty foods. Either way, you'll also help lower blood pressure and maintain a healthy weight. Foods enriched with plant sterols, such as some margarine spreads, yogurts, and other foods, can also help lower LDL cholesterol. Need a snack? A handful of nuts is a tasty treat that helps in lowering cholesterol. Nuts are high in monounsaturated fat, which lowers LDL "bad" cholesterol while leaving HDL "good" cholesterol intact. We all need a little fat in our diet -- about 25% to 35% of our daily calories. But the type of fat matters. Unsaturated fats -- like those found in canola, olive, and safflower oils -- help lower LDL "bad" cholesterol levels and may help raise HDL "good" cholesterol. You need carbohydrates for energy, but some do your body more good than others. Beans, and whole grains such as brown rice, quinoa, and whole wheat, have more fiber and raise sugar levels less. These help lower cholesterol and keep you feeling full longe Aerobic exercise ("cardio") such as brisk walking lowers risk of stroke and heart disease, helps you lose weight, and keeps bones strong. If you're just starting out, try a 10-minute walk and gradually build up from there.

Dear, due to contractions of uterus (when muscles of uterus tightens and relaxes). To get relief from pain you can do massage lightly your stomach area with mustard oil for 3 to 5 minutes daily. * spread a towel on your stomach area and put hot water bottle for 5 to 10 minutes at the time of pain. * do jogging daily for 5 to 10 minutes. * do pavanmuktasan daily for 5 minutes under the guidance of yoga expert. * avoid to do heavy work at the time of periods. Also avoid jogging before 3 to 4 days from coming date of periods. * eat healthy & light food during periods. Do not skip the food. Eat a bowl of cereal daily in afternoon. * drink a glass of milk at night daily.

You need to consume essential fatty acids and high biological value protein. Need to consume complex carbohydrates instead of simple carbohydrate. Take green tea 2- 3times aday. Flaxseeds powder in salads, curd, dal. Black pepper.

If it makes you tired, you should reduce it. Instead of measuring in time, you may measure in distance. Walking 8 kms is ideal. You can also go for sauna bath to loose fat. If you walk that much, take energy drink like tang or lemon water along. It will give you energy.

1. Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2. Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hairfall, whitening and dandruff. 3. Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4. Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5. Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6. Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. Some sources of this are – eggs, whole grains, all types of seeds like flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, Dry fruits and nuts etc.

* Don't scratch or pinch your pimples. This will cause more damage---causes scars, pores and black spots. * Avoid fried and oily foods. * Prefer fruits and green vegetables. * When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. *Your skin ‘breaths’ through its pores which are not to be closed for long. Dear lybrate-user! do not worry about the skin problem, there are various type of skin disease, you did not mention about the infection and how the skin looks. I will suggest general skin care 1. Wash the affected area with normal water 2. Apply only pure coconut oil or olive oil, do not apply any ointment unless prescribed by the physician 3. Do not apply any native medicine on it, some times some substance may induce the problem more 4. Eat fresh vegetables and fruits 5. Do not expose the affected area to heat or dust 6. Wash your cloths with dettol and dry it in the sun 7. Change your dress which are too old 8. Do not allow much perspiration in the affected area. 9. If any food substance cause itching, note it and avoid it. 10. Do not take any self medication without doctors knowledge. 11. Use homoepathy soap carmino thank you.

You should exercise , this is the main treatment for weight gain as well 45 minutes of daily workout is necessary. Yoga or gym or cycling - pick whatever suits you and practice it everyday There is a excellent supplement in Ayurveda for weight gain called Shatavari Kalpa. Use 1 teaspoon of this powder mixed with a cup of warm milk twice daily. This is a natural and a very safe product.
