Briefing on Hypertension and its treatment

I'm Dr. R.K Joshi from Siddharth Clinic, Palam Bihar Gurgaon. Mai aaj aap ko hyper tension k baare me kuch batauga, ki hypertension hota kya hai aur hota kyu hai aur iske causes kya hai aur treatment kya ho sakti hai. Hypertension, kyuki ye tension hota hai jo aap ki arteries jo humareblood vessels hai unka tension hota hai, unke lateral wall spe padhta hai jis ki wajah se humko hypertension hota hai. Aur jaisa ap sab log jante hai ki ye blood humare saare sharir me daudta hai islye har organ pe ye apna bad effects chod k jaata hai jaise ki aap ka liver, kidney, heart, brain sab jagah pe iske bad effects dekhe ja sakte hai aur etina mein bhi iska effect aata hai, eye mein parde k upar. To islye isko treat karna, iske baare me janna bohot zaruri hai, to ye humare lifestyle k thode se changes se jo hai thik ho sakta hai.

Medication part bhi isme hai lekin vo bohot baad mein aata hai. Lekin iska jo hai jise cardaic arrest kehte hai jisme aapka cardiac muscles kaam karna band ho jaata hai jis ki wajah se aap ka immediate death ho jaata hai. To kyu ki heart humare paas ek hi hai isliye humein usko bohot sanjo k rakhna padhta hai aur humare jo 4 chambered heart hota hai, jisme ki 2 deoxigenated aur 2 mein oxigenated blood hota hai. To isliye ye pumping station hai aur isiliye iska bohot khyaal rakhna padhta hai. Aur aap apne diet me jaise ki aap unsaturated fats le sakte hai, saturated fats mat lijiye, aur aap junk food pe zyada depend mat hoiye.

Aur dusri baat aap sodium ka intake kam kar sakte hai jo ki humare common white salt mein bohot hota hai kyuki sodium chloride hai vo. To unko aap kam kar sakte hai jaise jinko Hypertension hai unko to thoda kam lena chahiye aur jinko nahi hai, jo swasth hai abhi unko bhi one teaspoon se zyada per dy consume nahi karna chahiye, aur oily chizo se bachna chahiye, potassium ka intake zyada hona chahiye kyuki potassium isko level karta hai, kam karta hai. Jaise potassium k liye aap kela apne diet me shamil kar sakte hai, kela, amrud mein thoda potassium mil jaata hai aap ko to iske wajah se aap isse bach sakte hai aur aap isko thik kar sakte hai, level me la sakte hai. Aur agar koi young hai to uske liye 140-190 tak bhi chal jaata hai, uske niche hona chahiye to accha hai.

Lekin jaise aap ki age badhti hai to upper limit 150-260 bhi ja sakta hai, lekin contrl karna chahiye taki vo niche hi rahe 140 k to zyada better hota hai. 70-90 aap ka niche ka jisko hum distolic kehte hai aur 140-150 upper limit hai jisko hum systolic bolte hai, systolic blood pressure kehte hai. To aap agar ye rakhege to aap k liye accha hoga aur iska treatment part mein homeopathy mein khas taur se humlog ka disease diagnosis nahi hota hai, symptomatic treatment hota hai jisko ki hmare clinic pe agar aap aate hai to aap ko homeopathic doctor sahi guide kar sakte hai ki kya treatment aap ko chahiye.

Agar aap ko aur kuch bhi jankari chahiye ho to aap mere se sampark kar sakte hai through Lybrate aur mujhe khushi hogi ki mai aap ke shankaon ka samadhan kar sakun. Dhanyawad.

What treatment options are available to a patient with narrowed or blocked arteries?
Hi lybrate-user. 1. (eecp) enhanced external counterpulsation may stimulate the opening, or formation of, small branches of blood vessels (collaterals) to create natural bypass around narrowed or blocked arteries. Little expensive non invasive procedure. 2.(ptca) percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure to open up blocked coronary arteries, allowing blood to circulate unobstructed to the heart muscle.

How to Tell the Difference Between a Heart Attack and a Panic Attack?

DM - Cardiology, MD - General Medicine, MBBS
Super Speciality, Pune
How to Tell the Difference Between a Heart Attack and a Panic Attack?

You feel your heart begin to beat wildly in your chest as you break into a cold sweat and have trouble catching your breath; is this a heart attack or panic attack? Your first thought is that it's a heart attack since you have an impending feeling of doom which you may even have felt before your attack began. This makes your heart beat even faster and you become so overwhelmed that the feeling gets even worse until you begin to feel light-headed or maybe even pass out. This is a panic attack.

When you suffer from anxiety, the slightest thing can trigger a panic attack and some can be so intense that you can't imagine it being anything other than looming death. It's very common for those having an anxiety attack to mistake it for a heart attack and this fear is enough to just take over and really wreak havoc on your heart rate, but no matter how fast your heart beats or how panicked you feel; you are not having a heart attack and this episode will not kill you.

One thing that will prove helpful in dealing with this is learning the differences between the two:

Signs of a Heart Attack:

  1. Pressure in the Chest (described as feeling like there is an elephant sitting on your chest).

  2. Chest pain - note that this is not always present.

  3. Sweating.

  4. Shortness of breath.

  5. Pain in the right arm.

  6. Pain in the back or shoulder blades for women.

  7. Nausea or vomiting.

Panic attack symptoms include:

  1. Increased heart rate.

  2. Sharp or stabbing chest pain that lasts only 5 to 10 seconds.

  3. Pain that is localized to one small area.

  4. Pain that usually occurs at rest.

  5. Pain that accompanies anxiety.

  6. Pain that is relieved or worsened when you change positions.

  7. Pain that can be reproduced or worsened by pressing over the area of pain.

The bottom line: Be vigilant and get checked out promptly. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.

I am 26 year old male and I have recently been diagnosed with higher blood pressure on left side of my body compared to the right side. I am curious about what could be the possible cause and remedy for this problem.

Blood pressure readings in the right and left arms that differ by a few points aren’t anything to worry about. It’s actually quite normal. A difference of more than 10 points, though, could suggest trouble. In younger people, side-to-side differences in blood pressure can occur when a muscle or something else compresses an artery supplying the arm, or by a structural problem that prevents smooth blood flow through an artery. In older people, it’s usually due to a blockage arising from atherosclerosis, the artery-clogging disease process at the root of most heart attacks, strokes, peripheral artery disease, and other cardiovascular conditions. Hope your reading difference is not more than 10 points. If there is a wide difference, you should consider seeking a doctor.
