THE hormonal imbalance in our body trigger oil glands to produce excess amounts of an oily substance called sebum. When sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria clog up your pores, inflammation sets in and pimples develop.Oily and fried foods disrupts hormonal activity in your body leading to Inflammation which drives up oil gland production, making your skin oilier and inviting to acne bacteria and pimples. I have skin dark spot over more than one year And I have consulted with many doctors and the gave me many creams like bright night etc.

MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Pathanamthitta
Looks like u have freckles,it can also be lentigenes. This can arise in association with some other systems involvement too. Most commonly, intestinal associations can be seen. So, it's important that you consult a specialist physically. Apart from this, you can use a sunscreen with physical block and chemical agents, this vil protect your skin from harmful uv rays which vil increase these tiny black spots. Make sure your diet is rich in lycopene, this is present in plenty in tomatoes which is more beneficial if had in processed form as puree, ketchup, paste or sauce.U Vil need laser therapy.

I have combination of dry and oily skin with pimples and black spot I want normal skin with natural glowing what I should to do.

Hi! Always apply sunscreen half an hour before going out in the sun. Reapply sunscreen every 3-4 hours till evening. Keep your skin covered in pollution and dust. If you think that applying great products alone will give you glowing skin, then you are wrong. You are what you eat. Nutrition plays an important role to keep you glowing inside out. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains. Try to limit intake of junk, smoke and alcohol as these harm your skin the most.

I have a normal to oily skin type. Please suggest me some tips or measures to take care of my skin and prevent from pimples.

PG Hom, London, BHMS

Hello lybrate-user, decreased intake of oily foods, ghee, butter, chocolate, ice cream, cakes and pastries will reduce the oil secretion from skin. In turn it reduces pimple formation. Make sure you drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day. Wash your face with a good oil control face wash at least 2 to 3 times a day.

Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium tcan worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days. Also, use Bakson’s Apricot scrub 1-2times a week on the area.

Hi. You can use a glycolic acid based face wash twice a day. That will help you with oily skin and make your face clear. But the treatment of pimples will require a day cream and a night cream and a capsule. Consult me privately in audio consultation for details.

I want long n smooth hairs but my hairs is so rough damaged n have splitens I use regular oiling n always tie up hairs but no difference occur pls suggest me how can I make my hairs long shiny n smooth.

1.Wash hair sparingly and use a good-quality shampoo. Washing hair too often can leave hair dried out, leached of its natural oils, and may damage your hair. Aim to shampoo your hair at most every other day or even only twice a week. 2. Try shampoos that do not contain sulfates or parabens. Sulfates are the chemicals that make shampoos lather up. Parabens are preservatives that cause irritation and eye problems after prolonged use. Both of these chemicals aren't healthy for you or the environment so try to use shampoos with natural cleansers 3.. Use conditioner that matches your hair type, length, and treatment damage. A good rule of thumb is to condition every time you shampoo your hair, although very processed or dyed hair probably needs a little more love than natural hair 4. Be careful about using hair care products with too much protein. Too much protein can leave your hair feeling desiccated and brittle. While protein is the building block of healthy hair, use conditioners that come with balanced ingredients. 5. Rinse your hair with vinegar before shampooing, twice a year. Doing this helps to make your hair look shinier and cleaner; plus, it treats dandruff. Use 1 part vinegar (preferably organic apple cider vinegar) to 3 parts warm water, then rinse and wash your hair as normal. 6. Moisturize your hair. Use five oils: almond, castor, olive, coconut and lavender oils. Mix together equal proportions of each. Alternately, use egg oil. Apply to the hair and leave in for four hours prior to showering out. Repeat twice a week. 7. Eat healthily. Give your hair the right amount of vitamins. Since hair is made of proteins, eat a balanced diet rich in lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will ensure hair that looks and feels better. • Make sure you get plenty of vitamin C. This vitamin strengthens hair. In addition, iron helps transport oxygen to blood vessels, zinc grows and repairs tissue, and omega-3 fatty acids grow healthy hair. • Give your hair some time to show new brilliance. What you eat will not have an immediate difference on the hair you already have, but it will help with hair that is newly growing. • 8. Remove stress from your life. Physical and mental stressors will keep your hair from realizing its full potential. Stress can cause hair loss, so try not to let stress overcome you. This means finding healthy emotional outlets for your stress: yoga, biking, meditation, or other forms of exercise all work well.
