My husband is having migraine from past 2 months he is under treatment taking tablets from 15 days. He is living in tamilnadu next week we planned to go for Bangalore and settle for 1 month does climatic changes affect his health sir?

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, Fellow In Pain Management, DM - Neurology
Neurologist, Gurgaon
Hello..Yes climate does affect migraine..hot and sunny weather is bad as it can precipitate migraine.. Banglore has an even climate throughout so it won't be a problem.. Migraine treatment usually lasts 6 months to 1 yr..but it depends on the response.. If good response we can stop the medicines but if poor response then it can continue longer..meanwhile avoid stress, caffeine, bright light or bright sound to have good sleep etc.

This is all stress and worries of life. May be issues of sex/love/future/marriage, you may be having insecurities and fear. Just relax. Ask yourself what bothers you ? have a positive self-talk, and learn what are those things you don't like. You need to accept your self and move on. You need to take care of your lifestyle and learn to be happy. If you can't do it yourself, meet a life coach/ stress management super-specialist like me. Once you open your heart out, you will feel free and begin to fly in life. I assure you that I can manage this and help you.

I have seizures problem for past seven years it can't stopped it comes in the morning 2 to 3 time in a few sec 2 or 3 sec I am taking tablets regular can you please give me suggestion for stop seizures.

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
The term epilepsy covers a group of disorders of brain function characterized by sudden attacks (seizures). The seizures are commonly labeled grand or petit mal. Conventional treatment attempts to subdue or suppress the seizures with sedatives but offers no cure. Homeopathy offers a cure in 2-5 years depending on the severity of the case. We have many complete cures where the patient remains seizure free after being slowly weaned off the conventional drugs. The return of eeg readings to normal confirms the success of homeopathic treatment. Please note that while many cases of epilepsy reslove under homeopathic treatment it can often take a year or so for the seizures to stop.

Migraine pain at times very disturbing and painful. You may take lemonade one glass daily in morning empty stomach. Take spigellia 200 and glonine 200 4 pills from each medicine at a time 2-3 times daily alternately. Maintain a gap of half an hour between meals and medicine.

My mother has been using wysolone for about 20 years .she was earlier diagnosed with hystiocytosis. Many people said that the longterm usage of wysolone would lead to nervous problems. Please suggest the what doctor we should consult and what precautions we should take. Please do answer.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, MRCP (UK), DM - Clinical Haematology
Hematologist, Kolkata
Histiocytosis does need treatment with steroids. But that usually doesn't have to be this long. And you are right. Steroids do have their own side effects. In this situation, it is important to know what type of histiocytosis she was suffering from, what was the initial therapy and what was the response assessment. Do get in touch with a hematologist and he/she will be able to guide you through. Thanks though for asking, for it is high time that she gets off the steroids.

I'm 18 years old female my name is simian soni nd I have a problem of numbness, left side of my body is totally numb before I wake up in the morning I want to know that which type of symptoms or problem is that?

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. See, if you have numbness in one half of the body, it is important to clinically examine you and focus has to be on cervical spine and brain region. Since this is a slightly sensitive issue, I will advise you to get in touch of a neurophysician and get a detailed evaluation done for yourself. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Your shivering may be a sign of anxiety or neurological disease but it is not common in your age and try calming mind by meditaion.
