Here are some problems related to joint and knee

Impact of Overweight on Joint and Knee
Hi! I’m Lokendra Tomar. I’m Weight loss and Wellness Coach.
I believe in sharing true knowledge so that you can take care of your own health and you become your own doctor.

If you are having a problem of joint pain, knee pain, back pain, and you are overweight then, this is a double trouble for you because you cannot exercise and without exercise when you are eating you’ll gain weight.
One of the most important reasons for this joint pain and the back pain is acidic environment in the body and what is this acidic environment – when you eat more of the acidic food.

If you divide food into two categories –

there are foods which are alkaline in nature and there are foods which are acidic in nature. Grains, sugar, processed food, non-veg, even a processed beverages, alcoholic nonalcoholic even those packed juices they are acidic in nature. Fruits, vegetables, dry fruits, nuts, fats and oil, they are all alkaline in nature. So, if you are eating more of the acidic food then, your body becomes acidic then, your bone loses calcium and magnesium, they loses their strength which leads to the acidic environment and which leads to the weaker bones which leads to the pain in the bone. So, if you are having pains in the joint and you are willing to lose weight you have to follow an alkaline diet that means you strictly avoid those grain based food, those animal based food and you go on more of a vegetable based food so, eat more of the vegetables, fruits, nuts, and fats and oil and one single alkaline drink which can help you a lot in losing 8 to 10 kgs in three months.Let me tell you a secret formula of alkaline drink is take a glass of water, squeeze a lemon, add a little amount of baking soda into it. Drink this twice a day and you’ll lose 8 to 10 kgs in just three months.

People those who are having joint pain and willing to lose weight; they can book an appointment online through Lybrate.

I met with an accident in 2012 and in that accident the calcanious bone was fractured after operation one week later it got infected and gangarin developed in my feet so doctor removed the infected calcanious bone and all the infected tissues from my feet and after that they have done skin transplant in the feet by taking skin from the thigh to cover the open wound now it is completely covered and healed but my problem is there is no flesh in feet around the calcanious bone region only skin is there over the feet bone so I can't give any pressure on my right foot and cannot walk in bare foot, even don't have sensation in that area also. I walk now although I limp with the help of applying soft silicon gel in my sock and wearing shoe but always had a fear that my skin in lower feet will be damaged or get cut while walking and I won't be able to know as I dnt have sensation in that area as it happened 2-3 times earlier also and then the slight cut took weeks to heal also and by that time I couldn't wear anything on my feet so that it will dry up and heal. Now I want to know is there any permanent solution through any further surgery possible so that I will have sensation in my feet back and can walk without any fear.

Unfortunately it happened, but there is remedy. There are braces available that may transmit the weight directly from leg (below knee) to the boot. It will protect your heal and also provide you confidence to walk. Please consult you orthopedician.

Hi I am 34 years old my legs are very much paining after coming from office please advise me.
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Suffering from cervical spondylosis for 8 months. Using medicine but no change. Recently doctor suggested me MRA test. Report says am also suffering from Rheumatism. Doctor said because of rheumatism only Cervical spondylosis also not reducing. So which is best treatment for my problem (Cervical spondylosis + Rheumatism)

Suffering from cervical spondylosis for 8 months. Using medicine but no change. Recently doctor suggested me MRA test...
Non surgical-If there is evidence that the rheumatoid arthritis has affected the stability of the cervical spine, the most important part of spine care is close follow-up. Serial x-rays may be needed over time to assess progression and any further instability. Spinal treatment may not always be required. Patients with cervical instability may need to protect their neck with a special neck brace. Surgical Treatment: If there are signs of spinal cord compression, surgical stabilization should be considered to prevent serious neurological damage by fixing any unstable portion of the spine.

Want a Fit Spine: 5 Must Do Exercises

Spinal cord is a very important part of your body as it renders support to your body.  It also gives your body a good posture and thus maintaining a healthy spine is very essential. An unfit spinal cord can lead to various complicated problems.

The following are 5 must do exercises in order to maintain a healthy spine:

  1. Exercising your core muscles can help you to maintain a fit spine. Your core muscles refer to the muscles of your lower back and your abdominal muscles. These muscles give support to your spine. So exercising them can give you a healthy spine.
  2. Walking regularly can also give you a healthy spine. It is suitable for people of all age groups. Daily walking can help you to recover from various spinal illnesses as well such as spinal stenosis.
  3. Swimming is also a good exercise for maintaing a fit spinal cord. Swimming helps to exercise all back muscles and thus, gives you a healthy spinal cord.
  4. Lying down straight with your face down on an even and firm surface for about twenty minutes can help you to get a healthy spine and also a good body posture.
  5. Cycling can also help you achieve a healthy spine. While cycling, all your back muscles and the muscles of the lower part of your body are engaged in physical activity. If the muscles of your lower back are strong, then it can help you to keep your spine fit.

Other than these exercises, stretching your limbs and other stretching exercises are also beneficial for a healthy spine. But it is highly recommended for you to consult a doctor before doing any exercise in order to be guided in the proper manner and avoid further complications.
