I am 47 years old and I am suffering from acidity problem since last 3-4 yrs. If I fell pain in any part of the body n if I press there air is released through mouth. I also often get gases. I hv to go to toilet twice a day. My MC periods hv been stopped since last 7 yrs. please help me getting rid of this.

Your problems are not related to the menses stopping (menopause) but it is related to" what you eat" perhaps your digestion system has been affected. You must seek an advice from a gastroenterologist or a gen surgeon who can help you. Acidity occurs due to excess gastric acid. Either it can be secreted more due to hurry, stress, worry and spicy food intake or it can be due to erratic food habits which prevent neutralisation of the acid produced. E prolonged starving between meals, starvation, etc it would be best to space out your meal into 5-6 meals per day, rather than just having lunch and dinner. So eat small amounts every 2 hourly. This will help neutralise the acid produced and prevent a build up avoid excess consumption of tea / coffee.(not more than 2 / day) eat high fiber foods like carrot, radish, beet, cucumber, watermelon, oranges, sweet lime etc. This prevents gas formation and helps smooth motion eat fresh curds (dahi) 1 small bowlful, every day. Drink 2-3 liters of water per day. All this will help you. In addition you must take medicines to reduce acidity as prescribed.

Definitely help you if you give some extra symptoms. Please go through this blood test cbc, rbs, dengu igm/igg, mp and urine for re/me. According to your qury for 3 days we cont say its typhoid after 1week or more then give widal and typhi dot then can confirm. You cane take arl 3o and pcm500 sos.

Dear lybrate user, you need to take homoeopathic carbo veg 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach. You can also try homoeopathic liver tonic liv-t (sbl company). Take 20 ml of the aforesaid liver tonic, thrice daily, after meals. Try to get an uninterrupted sleep of minimum 8 hours.

What is the Impact of Porn Addiction and Masturbation on Your Health?

After the advent of the internet, the availability of pornography or explicit video material has become widespread. The availability of this material resulted in a large section of the population relying on it for sexual pleasures as well as living their fantasies through the digital realm.

Internet porn is the new drug

The easy availability and the dependence on internet porn to get a quick fix of dopamine through sexual pleasure have resulted in patterns of addiction among many people. Porn addiction is a phenomenon which has been exacerbated by the easy availability of pornography on the internet. It has not only affected sexual habits such as masturbation, but has also caused hindrances in the daily lives of people and has become a mental disorder as well.

A brain on porn is similar to a brain on alcohol

While it may seem a bit far-fetched, studies of brain scans have shown that people watching porn experience the same effects or pleasure that alcohol gives them. It is a neural circuit which releases pleasure hormones when you sexually pleasure yourself by masturbating to porn. The reward circuit of the brain recognizes this pattern and starts creating please pathways where you want more of it. As you keep doing it more and more, the resistance level increases and you tend to need more. This is a classic sign of addiction.

Healthy and unhealthy masturbation

Masturbation is a natural and normal process that every human indulges in. However a brain addicted to porn will use it as an addict uses a substance. Masturbation is the physical act through which the dopamine would be released. Once it has become an addiction, you would either want to have the daily fix for at least a few hours which you would ensure to take out of your daily routine. This time could have been invested in other fruitful activities when it ends up going to the addiction. In some cases, studies have shown that many would rather do it a few times a week but would spend extended hours masturbating to porn.

Effects of excess masturbation

Some of effects of the porn addiction and excessive masturbation could be

  • Premature ejaculation problem

  • Erectile dysfunction when you are with a partner and in a real life scenario due to dependence on particular porn fantasies

  • Inability to have or form intimate relationships which are not just sexual but emotional and mental as well

  • Lethargy to go to work or school due to addiction related problems

  • Breakdown in relationships, even with family members and friends among many others

Hello Lybrate user a balanced diet is a combination of five major food groups consisting of vitamins and minerals, protein, carbohydrates, and fat all these components help to maintain your body perfect. Take Vitamins and Minerals such as dark green leafy veggies should be included in your meal. Adding a variety of veggies like broccoli, spinach, beans, lettuce, etc, Include protein in your diet. Sending you general diet plan for whole day Breakfast – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Fill up your breakfast meal with protein like 2-3 scrambled egg whites with a whole grain toast and a fruit of your choice or a bowl of fruit oats porridge with sprouts salad. Protein kickstarts your metabolism and keeps you feeling fuller for longer during the day. Mid-morning Snack – A fistful of dried fruit combined with nuts or seeds, provides protein and healthy fats to keep you satisfied till lunch.
