Focus on your breathing 2.Place your thumbs in your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and your remaining along the sides of your nose. Keep each little finger near a nostril 3.Breath in deeply through the nose. First, feel the diaphragm move down, allowing the lungs to expand and forcing the abdomen out; then feel your chest expand with your collar bones rising last. 4.Use your Little fingers to partially close each nostril. Keep your lungs filled. 5.Breathe out through the nose while humming. Note that the humming sound should originate in your throat, not as a result of your partially-blocked nostrils. 6.Repeat three times

I am suffering from CNVM in eyes where new blood vessels grow over retina and rupture leaving waste materials there. This left me almost blind in left eye 15 years before. Since 2012 same problem appeared in right eye but it is now under control after 7 avastin injections. I have to go for follow up in every 3 months. Is there any ayurvedic method of treatment to cure the condition? Please suggest

Falling water from eyes when I am reading continuously. What is the remedy for that.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Eye strain, or asthenopia, is when the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches Eye strain may lead to other problems, such as: • Headaches • Difficulty Concentrating • Irritability • Burning Sensation • Watery Eyes • Dry Eyes • Photophobia • Eye Pain If you work on a computer, or have a habit of continuous reading ,taking eye breaks for five minutes every hour can lessen the strain on your eyes. Simply closing your eyes for a few moments can also do wonders. Try standing up, moving around, or taking a short walk to help regain concentration.Regular eye exercises that involve focusing on different distances can help prevent future straining. Blink often. Blinking refreshes and replenishes your eyes naturally. If you are having trouble with blinking due to the dryness of your eyes, try using Homoeopathic CINELUBE EYEDROPS ( HAPDCO) 3 times daily.

How to reduce body heat? Often tears are coming from eyes Bcoz of heat. What is the solution for that?

FICO, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Gandhinagar
Watering of the eyes has multiple causes associated with it. To enumerate a few common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic. (4) raised intraocular pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the coats of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of allergy. Maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. You could also use a lubricant eye drop along with an anti-histamine eye drop. (3-4 times daily) hope my suggestions helped you. Take care,

Hello I am sorry for his loss but your doctor is right Neurologist will treat the condition If there is no improvement with IVMP then chances of visual recovery are very poor. IVMP helps is faster recovery I would recommend you to follow instructions of your doctor.

My eye's light will be decrease day to day by do more work on computer, what should I do?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
The solution for this problem is its reduced usage and while using computor use in proper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the computor screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of computor usage or take frequent breaks. Homoeopathic medicine CINELUBE EYE DROPS ( HAPDCO) Pour 2 drops 3 times daily.

Hi pavithra if your belly is lowering your self-confidence and giving you sleepless nights, here are the tips to give you flatter and fitter tummy. 1. Add fiber to your diet constipation distends your belly, add veggies and fruits to your daily diet to relieve you of constipation, reduce intakes of refined cereals like maida, noodles, pasta and whole grains instead add dalia and oats. This would relieve you of constipation and bloat to give you a flat tummy. 2. Decrease sodium intake sodium retains water in the body and hence your belly swells up, reduce intake of junk food as it contains a lot of sodium. Stop adding extra salt to dishes, also packaged and processed food contains a lot of salts so better avoid it. 3. Increase potassium foods rich in potassium help you get rid of balancing sodium, fruits are very good source of potassium, adding them to their daily diet not only provides this nutrient but also increase the fiber content of your daily intake 4. Avoid sugar alcohols we do not completely digest these low-calorie sweeteners usually found in flavoured low-calorie drinks, diabetic and sugar-free foods. Bacteria in a large intestine ferment during gas and distension so check food labels and avoid sorbitol, xylitol and lacitol. 5. Increase liquids drinking plenty of liquids helps flush out toxins from the body. Keep yourself hydrated with at least 8 glasses of water, also include lassi, coconut, water, lemon water in your daily routine. Make sure to include homemade soups only, as packaged soups are not that nutritious and contain added sodium in them. 6. Carbonated beverages and alcohol these give you extended bellies and your dream of flat tummy falls flat. Alcohol gives you empty calories with zero nutrition. 7. Probiotic curds include low fat curd in your diet regime as it contains live bacteria which tame bloating by increasing intestinal motility. 8. Method of cooking no doubt salads and sprouts are good for our health but if experience distension with them then saute, blanch or steam them also fried foods are best to be avoided not only because of their high-calorie content but also because frying leads to changes in oil composition which may result in bloating. 9. Avoid chewing gums and candies while chewing them air enters our digestive system, giving us feeling of bloating, also candies are zero in nutrition but contain loads of calories. Also, eat slowly as gulping down increases air passage to the digestive system 10. Individual tolerances some individuals are more intolerant to certain foods like radish, capsicum, tea, cauliflower etc, so with your own personal experience omit them from your diet.

Stye is infection of Moll & zeis gland present in every body eye lids. Stye occurs due to refractive error as book says but practically it doesn't happen & I have seen happening in persons who have no refractive error, there is no cure for recurrent& multiple states, we only prescribe antibiotic orally as well as for local application in form of ointment. Hot fomentation does only help to certain extent. There is good medicine in homoeopath for recurrent & multiple stye as I had read during my post graduation in a book written by renowned professor of ophalmology of Mumbai, the drugs named were pulstilla & silicea.

I am 18 years old male and am having pain in my eyes since 3 months. I have used eye drops but it has no effect.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, it could be due to eyestrain. Usually eye fatigue can be prevented or reduced by making simple changes in your work habits or environment. Make changes to your computer screen, such as: place the screen 20-26 inches away from your eyes and a little below eye level. Regularly clean off dust and fingerprints from the screen. Smudges on the screen can reduce contrast and increase problems with glare and reflections. Choose screens that tilt and swivel. Consider using a glare filter over your screen. Make changes to your work environment, such as: change lighting to reduce glare and harsh reflections. Use an adjustable chair. Place a document holder next to your computer screen. Make changes to your work habits, such as: try the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look away about 20 feet in front of you for 20 seconds. Post a note that says" blink" on the computer as a reminder. Take regular breaks from computer work. Take care of your eyes with these steps: apply a washcloth soaked in warm water to tired, dry eyes (with eyes closed). Use artificial tears to refresh your eyes when they feel dry. To help prevent dry eyes while working indoors, use an air cleaner to filter dust and a humidifier to add moisture to the air. Management: give sufficient rest to your eyes with proper sleep. Keep yourself hydrated with intake of 10-12 glasses of water in a day. Eat healthy especially vitamin a rich food (green vegetables, carrots, yellow fruits and vegetables) and avoid junk food. Hold tap water in your flexed palm, dip your one eye closer to the water level, shut and open your eyelids often. Do the same with your other eye. Repeat this whole process 1-2 times more in a day. Give your eyes proper rest. Can keep slices of cucumber or potato or used tea bags over the closed eyes for sometime. Medication: instill 2 drops of euphrasia eye drops in each eye twice daily.
