Hi lybrate-user The real problem occurs when a person who is on weight loss regime, have to lose belly or abdominal fat. All the exercises, jogs, food, diet plans, etc work great on our body except on the belly. The stubborn belly fat is the hardest one to reduce and take months to get in shape. You need to follow different diet plans and exercises to reduce belly fat. And we have some tips for you on how to reduce belly fat. Say no to sugar Avoid sugary food and beverages if you want to cut down the abdominal or belly fat. They are extremely unhealthy and can badly affect the metabolic health. Sugar is half fructose and half glucose, fructose only be metabolized by liver, so wherever you eat refined sugar, it turns into fat due to increased level of fructose in liver. The large amount of fructose accumulates fat in the belly which can further lead to obesity, liver fat, metabolic problems and diabetes. No carbs Studies have shown that restricting carbs from the diet help in weight loss and show the effective results in few days. Cutting carbs lowers the appetite and help in weight reduction. A person should go for a low carb diets instead of only sticking to low fat diet. One need to follow and eat a healthy and balanced diet to achieve the weight loss goal. Just cut the refined carbs like pasta, white bread, etc. Exercise to reduce belly fat For a good health and perfect body exercise is must. To live long, healthy and better life, take out 20 minutes from your life to invest into exercise of any type. Aerobics exercise like walking, swimming, running, etc is the fun and effective way to lose belly fat. It also prevents regaining of belly fat and shape up your belly. This exercise also reduces blood sugar level, metabolic abnormalities and reduces inflammation. Protein diet Protein diet is must to eat to reduce belly fat, especially in breakfast. Having protein in the breakfast reduces craving and boost metabolism, which helps you to feel full for longer and reduces the appetite. Protein takes time to digest so having it in breakfast is the best option, it keeps you full and you will not binge eat in your next meal. It helps in reducing abdominal fat and also prevents regaining. Eat food rich in fiber Like proteins, fiber too is very effective way to reduce belly fat. It is easy to digest and keeps digestive system and tract in proper order which prevents fat accumulation and throws waste material out of the body. It helps in proper bowel movement which again prevents fat accumulation. Try to have viscous fiber like oats, it binds water and form a thick gel, which sits in the gut and slow down the movement of food, also slows the digestion process which result in feeling of fullness and reduced appetite. Track your food Apart from eating healthy, many people fail to reduce fat because they don’t have proper knowledge of what food they are eating. Healthy food is not sufficient, proper and balanced diet is must. They blindly go for high proteins, low fat and carbs but fail. Eating boiled veggies daily won’t help and you cannot live on it whole life. Your body needs all the nutrients in proper amount, so go for diet plans which fulfill all the requirements of the body.

I am suffering from type 2 diabetes from past 2.5 yrs. I got gestational diabetes from 5th month which continued. I am taking Glycomet trio 2 tablet --500 mg one in morning and one in evening. From past few weeks I have noticed that my sugar is not in control. Morning fasting sugar is around 200 and pp is 285. Kindly advise. I feel the medicine is not working at all for me.

Thanks for the query. When diabetes goes on for very long time (many years), most often the insulin producing beta cell activity goes down. So in many patients oral drugs may not be effective. Secondly if blood glucose remains high, that also causes damage to beta cells. Hence diabetes becomes totally uncontrolled. So in your case there has to be a re-look at the present treatment. Plus we will also have to look at diet and extent of daily exercise and weight reduction. So if you want me to guide specifically and also prescribe the drugs, then you need to come in a private conversation following details: current fasting, PP blood glucose level, HbA1c% exact dosage of medications and present diet as well as extent of exercise being done daily. 1. Keep yourself hydrated. 2. Get extra rest for some days till you feel more energetic. 3. Avoid watching television for long hours. Indulge in relaxing activities. 4. Avoid stress and too much physical exertion. 5. Take a nutritious diet with more protein items in homemade food like soya, sprouts, dals, paneer, milk, seasonal fruits. 6. Do light physical activity, meditation and yoga. 7. Take one good multivitamin tablet after food for 7 days.

You take homoeo medicine belladonna 30 (6 to 8 pills) --3 times (hourly) in the morning and arsenicum iode 30---3 times (hourly) in the evening for 4 days. Take complete rest and have easily digestible light food. Drink plenty of water as this will eliminate toxins.

Hello, greying of hairs r due to loss of colour pigment from hair protein. Avoid using different types of shampoo stick to one. Have olive oil. Take rich protein food n amla. Homoeopathic medicine r good in it.

Sir I am married but after marriage of one and half year during sex my penis foreskin stitch break and it started pain and bleeding. Bleeding stopped immediately. Its 3 days have gone and Now there is white scars at joint and a pain like pin pinched. How much time should I avoid sex. Will it create pain during sex in future. Hi, regarding your sex you should wait for 7 days to let injury heal. After 7 days you should use condom for few days. It is always better to let doctor see it once to avoid future complication. You can apply cream topi heal for 5 days. Stitch whether required or not will depend on if you get similar incidences in future.

Believe me, if you are happy from inside and taking nutritious, healthy food and daily yoga or some kind of exercises, it will be automatically reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face!! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 ? a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet (for glowing skin): -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon,orange,gooseberry,etc.Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce) . If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Diet (for acidity): As long as you are consuming a healthy, nutritious diet, you can be assured that your body?s pH levels are within limits. However, this can be a problem for people who are not used to eating healthy and are used to ingesting large quantities of food with a predominantly acid content. Such individuals need to clearly identify the foods that are acidic in nature and restrict their consumption. Here is a list of foods that are acidic in nature followed by a list of foods that are alkaline in nature. Practically it is not possible, nor healthy, to consume just alkaline foods. However, if you do suffer from high levels of acid in your blood, you should make an effort to ensure that most of your food choices come from the list of alkaline foods. Acidic Foods to Avoid Meat. All forms of animal protein are acidic in nature. Most American diets involve large helpings of meat, and this is one of the reasons for the burgeoning obesity and ill health. Try to gradually cut down on your consumption of meat. To make up for the protein deficit, you should look to vegetable sources of protein that are alkaline in nature. Dairy Products. Dairy products such as butter, processed cheese, and ice cream are also acidic in nature. To get your daily intake of calcium, it is a good idea to opt for a chilled glass of skim milk instead. Vegetables. Vegetables such as legumes and beans are also acidic in nature. Lentils, corns, winter squash and olives also increase the acidity of the blood. Grains. Many of the whole grains such as wheat, rye, barley, and oatmeal are also acidic in nature. However, the nutritional benefits of consuming whole grains far outweigh the effect that they have on blood acidity Fruit. Most berries, plums, prunes, and currants are also acidic in nature and should be avoided if your body?s acid levels are high. Beverages. Beverages such as beer, coffee, and sodas are also acidic in nature. Alcohol and tobacco. Alcohol and tobacco are not only bad for you, but they also increase the acidity levels of the body and should be avoided. Miscellaneous. Some other acidic foods to avoid include sugar, mustard, vinegar, sunflower oil, olive oil, sesame oil, canola oil, and peanut butter. Alkaline Foods Protein Sources. As all animal sources of protein are acidic in nature, it is important to seek vegetarian protein sources that are alkaline in nature. Some of the best vegetarian sources of alkaline protein include tofu, whey protein, millets, almonds, and chestnuts. Vegetables. Other vegetables that are alkaline in nature include alfalfa, beet, broccoli, carrots, cabbages, celery, cauliflower, cucumber, eggplant, garlic, peas, lettuce, mushrooms, onions, peppers, pumpkins, spinach, tomatoes, and wheat grass. Fruits. Most fruit are alkaline in nature, except for the fruits mentioned in the list above. Do note that even citrus fruits have an alkaline effect on the body. Miscellaneous. Other alkaline food sources include stevia (a sugar substitute), fresh juices, water, spices, herbs, and ginger. Medicine: You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night.
