Your Hb is normal in range and no worry about it. You have not discussed the reason for your depression. Fine, if you seems irritable with talking to people, lack of concentration in work or education, not interested in watching TV or studies, feeling less appetite, not having proper sleep, feeling worthless, dull looking are all the symptom of depression. In that case, spend time with your family members, do not isolate yourself, go out for walk in the morning and in the night (if possible) at least for half an hour, but walking in the morning is necessary which relieves you from stress or depression. Though not feeling hungry, take food properly in the right time a little sum. Make yourself engaged in any activities compulsorily, or listening to music (not the song) will help you feel much better. If not resolved from the above suggestions, revert back for further discussions.

All About Type 2 Diabetes

All About Type 2 Diabetes

Glucose is the primary ingredient within the body, which is turned into an energy source. This is what we use when we move, walk or make the slightest movements. To metabolize glucose into energy, our body needs insulin, which is a hormone produced within the pancreas. However, if the body doesn't react to the insulin or the pancreas is unable to produce enough, glucose cannot be converted into energy and thus results in type 2 diabetes.

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:

  1. Sudden or gradual weight loss despite increased hunger - Many people complain that they feel hungry and eat more, but despite this the tend to lose weight. This occurs as the body cannot metabolize glucose and uses energy reserves from fat or muscles leading to weight loss.
  2. Frequent infections and slow healing - If you are afflicted with type 2 diabetes, then it might affect your immune system and you may be prone to infections. Also, any cuts or bruises on your body will take much longer to heal than normal.
  3. Irritability and fatigue - Another common symptom of type 2 diabetes along with the other symptoms mentioned here is quick irritability and fatigue. This is because most of the body is deprived of sugar and thus lacks the energy needed to function normally.
  4. Constant thirst and increased urination - If you feel constantly thirsty despite drinking ample water and urinating frequently, this may be a tell tale sign of type 2 diabetes.
  5. Skin darkening in folds and creases of the body - Also known as acanthosis nigricans; this is known darkening of the skin where it also becomes velvety to the touch. It usually develops in the folds of skin in areas, such as the neck and armpits and is a direct result of insulin resistance.

Causes of type 2 diabetes:

Some of the most common causes of type 2 diabetes could be:

  • Being overweight
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Genetic predisposition or family history
  • If you are more than 45 years of age
  • Hormonal problems such as Polycystic ovarian syndrome

Treatment or management of type 2 diabetes:

In most cases, major lifestyle changes can easily keep the symptoms of type 2 diabetes in check although, in certain cases medications may also be required. Some of the steps necessary are as follows:

  1. Change in diet and healthy eating
  2. Physical activity and exercising
  3. Regular blood sugar monitoring and
  4. Blood sugar medication along with insulin therapy, if necessary

I am doing mastrabing daily. Is there any side effects will come.

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda,
I am doing mastrabing daily. Is there any side effects will come.
Frequent masturbation and ejaculation stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions. Excessive stimulation can result in over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually large amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively masturbates. Note: masturbation is a healthy sexual behavior. Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances. Side-effects of masturbation other than an immediate need for a towel or tissue, the effects of masturbation upon the male body were: fatigue. Feeling tired all the time lower back pain thinning hair / hair loss soft / weak erections premature ejaculation eye floaters or fuzzy vision groin / testicular pain pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone for treatment and any querries ask privetly.

My penis is too small in size it is only 3 inches erect and I am too skinny and having weight 40 kg and my age is 20?
In indian males average errect penis size is 3 inch to 6 inch, if it falls in this nothing to worry, for good sex vagina needs only 3 inch penis, the tissue which excite vagina that has only 3 inch width, moreover girls like stamina of the partner and thickness of penis, more thick more they enjoy, there is no medicine in the market which increase the size of penis. Once again no treatment for making penis thick or long. Nature gives always right size as per indivdual genes and metabolism.

Hello, as you are suffering from psoriasis, psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. Psoriasis is a manageable disease, generally patient use steroidal application on patches which give temporary relief and disease reappear after 2/3 days. In severe cases methotrexate is used which is not a safer option and is liver toxic. Ayurvedic external application give very quick results with sun exposure in clearing the scales and internal treatment does not allow the disease to re appear. You should use 3 gms of haldi with milk helps in psoriasis patients. Red meat, alcohol n stress should be avoided in psoriasis.

All About Urinary Incontinence

M.Ch - Urology, MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Urologist, Gurgaon
All About Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence, commonly known as loss of bladder control can really cause embarrassment. The severity of this condition may range from once in a while leaky urine to the sudden and forceful urge to urinate, due to which you end up urinating before reaching the toilet.

Types of Urinary Incontinence:

  1. Stress Incontinence: When you feel the urge to urinate due to sneezing, coughing, laughing or while doing physical exercise
  2. Urge Incontinence: When you feel the urge to urinate, suddenly. This may occur during the day and even at night.
  3. Functional Incontinence: When you cannot reach the toilet on time because of a physical or mental impairment.
  4. Mixed Incontinence: When you involuntarily urinate due to more than one incontinence

Stress incontinence is the most common type in women. The activities which increase your risk, are:

You have had more than one pregnancy and vaginal delivery.

You have pelvic prolapse. This is when your bladder, urethra, or rectum slide into the vagina. Delivering a baby can cause nerve or tissue damage in the pelvic area. This can lead to pelvic prolapse months or years after delivery.

Female urinary stress incontinence is the involuntary release of urine during any physical activity that puts pressure on your bladder. This potentially embarrassing condition differs from general incontinence in that it happens when the body is under immediate physical stress. Activities that can put stress on your bladder include coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting heavy objects, or bending over. This condition is particular to women, many of whom experience symptoms after muscles have been weakened due to a vaginal childbirth, following menopause, or during pregnancy.

Ensure that you consult a doctor:

  1. If this condition hinders your day to day activities
  2. If the urinary incontinence is the result of a serious underlying problem

Causes of Urinary Incontinence:

Urinary incontinence may be temporary or permanent. Causes for temporary incontinence are-

  1. Alcohol
  2. Caffeine and caffeinated drinks
  3. Decaffeinated tea or coffee
  4. Spicy and sugary foods
  5. High intake of Vitamin B or C
  6. Urinary tract infection (UTI)
  7. Constipation

Causes for Permanent Incontinence are:

  1. Pregnancy
  2. Childbirth
  3. Old age
  4. Menopause
  5. Hysterectomy
  6. Prostate cancer
  7. Enlarged prostate
  8. Neurological disorders

Complications:

Chronic urinary incontinence can lead to certain complications like:

  1. Skin Problems: Skin rashes and infections can develop around the vaginal area, because of the constant wetness one feels. It may also cause sores.
  2. Urinary Tract Infections: Urinary incontinence can also result in UTI
  3. Impact on Personal and Social Life: Urinary incontinence can lead to great embarrassment, thus affecting the social and personal life of an individual.

Treatment for Female Stress Urinary Incontinence:

There are several types of treatment available. Treatment options include lifestyle changes, medications, nonsurgical treatments, and surgeries.

  1. Lifestyle Changes: Make regular trips to the restroom to reduce the chance of urine leakage. Drink fewer fluids and avoid activities such as jumping and running.
  2. Medications: Medications that reduce bladder contractions.
  3. Nonsurgical Treatments: Kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic muscles. Done regularly, these exercises can strengthen your muscles, allowing you to control when urine is released from your body.

Surgery:

If other treatments fail, you will have to go for surgical treatment. Types of surgery include:

  1. injectable therapy, in which collagen is injected into your urethra to reduce incontinence
  2. tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) surgery, in which mesh is placed around the urethra to give it support
  3. vaginal sling surgery, in which a sling is placed around the urethra to support it
  4. anterior or para-vaginal vaginal repair surgery to repair a bladder that is bulging into the vaginal canal
  5. retropubic suspension surgery to move the bladder and urethra back into their normal positions

Some doctors even try electrical stimulation and medication. When the condition is highly advanced interventional therapies and surgery is recommended.

Some interventional therapies are:

  1. Bulking material injections
  2. Botulinum toxin Type-A
  3. Nerve stimulators
