You Have to check HBa1c and also continued your medication for next 3 month then again check sugar. Then reduced dose for diabetic drug.

At least in 15 days you should done with lab test just for confirmation. Anyhow glucometer is a machine. So it ll show sm error.

I think go with insuline .and cycling walking for reduction of hba1c and omega 3 supplement for reduce cholesterol.
