Hello- Chances of getting pregnant are almost none as your partner has already blood on her menses so the sperm must be flushed out of her reproductive system. Moreover, she is not expecting her ovulation as she bled recently so she can't get pregnant. No need to consume any Ipill.

No, there is no chance of pregnancy. If you get periods earlier then expected date or on date, you can be assured that pregnancy has not taken place, but in case of delay in periods, it is best to take a pregnancy test one week over the expected date.

Hi normal delivery maa aur bache dono pe nirbhar karti hai. Agar bacha sarse hai, wajan jyada nahi hai, wajan bahot kam nahi hai, bache ne motion nahi kiya pet mei, delivery ke time bache ki dil ki dhadkan sahi hai toh normal delivery ke chances ache hai. Agar maa ke delivery ka rasta chota nahi hai, maa ki height achi hai, bp ya aur koi problem nahi hai, delivery ke waqt "progress" thik hai ko normal delivery hone ke chances ache hai. Ek sonography ki report se delivery ke baare mein batana mushkil hai.

My mom is havibg high amount of thyroid problem. What can be a good diet to reduce it to normal?

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Thyroid gland affects nearly every organ in the body. Many nutritional factors play a role in optimizing thyroid function. However, both nutrient deficiencies and excesses can trigger or exacerbate symptoms. Working in collaboration with a both a physician and a registered dietitian is essential to determine nutritional status for optimal thyroid health. Improper thyroid function causes undesired weight changes, significant cardiovascular risks, and symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, and gastrointestinal upset, which can hinder the development of healthful behaviors. I focus on setting realistic goals for healthy changes and regular exercise when counseling clients. There many potential nutrient deficiencies and interactions with medications and supplements. Hence diligent care is to be taken while designing a holistic treatment plan. I being a both a registered dietitian and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. PCOS itself is a disease and most of your symptoms are related to it... There can be other problems also like fibroid.. You should take homoeopathic treatment for the proper cure... You can consult me at lybrate.

I had bleeding before 3 days my period is due. (period should be on 25th may but it started on 22nd may itself) now it my fifth day. It was in brown and faded red colour for 4 days. But today that is on my 5th day it little bit high not heavier. What is it am pregnant? but I took home test it was negative.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Hi , no you are not pregnant & this is also proved by pregnancy test. This can be just a normal variation of menstrual cycle so need not to worry & take care of your diet & physical activity & have stress free life, this will minimize hormone dependent problems. You can also have iron for 3 months.

Recurrent Miscarriage - What Could Be The Reasons?

MBBS, Md - Obstetrics & Gynaecology, FMAS

Recurrent Miscarriage - What Could Be The Reasons?

Recurrent miscarriage is a condition when there has been three or more successive pregnancy losses. It is different from infertility as, infertility is the inability to conceive. For many cases, the cause of a recurrent miscarriage has not always been found. A number of factors can cause recurrent miscarriages of which some are treatable. It may not always be possible to identify a cause for recurrent miscarriage in a couple, even after extensive research and treatment procedures. Some of the common causes of recurrent miscarriage are described below:

  1. Chromosomal abnormalities: Incompatible chromosomes can result into pregnancy losses. When an egg and a sperm meet, of which one of them is faulty, they can't line up properly resulting into chromosomal abnormality. Such conditions lead to miscarriages.
  2. Uterine abnormalities or Incompetent cervixes: Miscarriages occur if the uterus is abnormally shaped since the embryo is not properly implanted or even if it gets implanted, it may not get sufficient nourishment to survive. If the woman has a weak cervix, it cannot hold the developing embryo, leading to miscarriage.
  3. Immunologic disorders: Under rare cases, the embryo itself is not accepted by the body. Antiphospholipid antibodies are those, which attack self tissues, such as embryos and prevent them from building up. This leads to recurrent miscarriage.
  4. Untreated thyroid problems: Conditions such as thyroid or uncontrolled diabetes result in uterine conditions which make it tough for the embryos to survive.
  5. Polycystic ovary syndrome: Women with polycystic ovary syndrome tend to have high levels of male hormones which, result in irregular menstruationand ovulation. This can prevent the lining of the endometrium from maturing that is required for holding the embryo.
  6. Bacterial infections: There may be presence of a number of microorganisms inside the reproductive tract that may be harmless for the person. But there may be certain bacteria lined up in the reproductive tract, which can prevent development of embryo, thus leading to miscarriages.
  7. LifestyleSmoking and drinking are harmful lifestyle habits, which may increase the chance of miscarriage to a great extent. It is always advised to avoid smoking or drinking when you wish to conceive. Other lifestyle conditions, such as working in certain environments like hospital environments, farms, laboratories, etc, may lead to miscarriages; however, the exact reason has not been identified yet.
