My son 10 years old is thin. He takes too much time for food and is selective on foods. Is there any medicine/tonic which I can safely give to him to increase his appetite and weight?

Hi There is no need for appetite stimulant. Each child is unique. If he eats slowly, be patient and let him take time to finish food. Don’t force any food. Introduce new food gradually. Always encourage him to eat healthy food by reasoning out (why it’s important to eat healthy food). Try making new recipe using healthy stuff. Involve him in cooking which will encourage him to eat well and not waste food.

My daughter is 1.5 year old. Any change in climate impacts her. Right now monsoon is on. She has developed immense cough. Her pediatrician told to give nebulizer. Till 5 years of age childs immune system is very weak.In this changing season most of the children suffer from such viral Respiratory infections.Most of the times they subsides even without antibiotics and if needed a proper dose of antibiotics for short period won't harm your child.So don't worry.Dont combine allopathy with homeopathy

Pneumococcal vaccine is now recommended for routine use as per iap and hence should be given. Flu vaccine is recommended for high risk individuals like those with asthma, allergy, frequent episodes of cough and cold and so on.
