White patches on tooth can be due to fluorosis or low minerals in enamel of teeth. Go to dental clinic for investigation. Sometimes bleaching also helps to reduce the patches. You should consult the doc.

The most probable reason can be indigestion. Hyperacidity. Constipation as hurry worry and curry are the precursors for oral ulcers. Therefore improve your diet, get oral prophylaxis done. Have dietary supplements like b complex and anti oxidants and apply boroglycerin twice a day.

I am having problem in my upper mucus and I am not even able to open my mouth and talk with people. What is the remedy for this? Please find out a solution for this ?

Quit habits if any. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Goggle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Hello, scaling is the most common and safest procedure carried out in all dental clinics. Visit a dentist and get a good scaling and polishing done. The dentist will show you proper brushing technique. If you maintain properly, cavity formation can be reduced. Brush twice a day, rinse after every meal and floss regularly. Visit dentist every 6 months.

If you do not have any discomfort and the tooth is impacted completely you can let it be it will cause no harm. It causes crowding only when it is erupting and putting pressure on the front teeth.

MDS - Periodontics

Mr. Lybrate-user, you should immediately consult your nearest dentist and get it checked. Bleeding from mouth (gums) when you brush is a common sign of periodontitis also known as pyorrhoea. Ideally you should get a professional cleaning done from a gum specialist (periodontist) which should help you in reducing the bleeding.

Hi lybrate-user, a mouth ulcer is a painful sore inside the mouth, on the tongue, soft palate (the back portion of the roof of your mouth), or inside the cheeks. Sores in your mouth are round, white, or grey in color, with a red edge or border. The condition is usually becomes okay within 7 days. But if it persists beyond that, or if multiple ulcers keep re-appearing, medical advice must be taken. In severe mouth ulcer attacks, you may also experience fever and physical sluggishness. Taking vitamin b12 supplements along with a suitable gel for pain is the best remedy.

Do not use your teeth for doing something other than chewing food. Using them for cracking nuts, removing bottle tops or ripping open packaging can result in chipped or broken teeth.

Along with brushing and flossing, tongue cleaning on a daily basis is also very important. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

I am 26 years old and I am having gum bleeding when I brush my teeth. Do me a favor by suggesting me.

MDS Endodontist, BDS
Dentist, Kolkata
I am 26 years old and I am having gum bleeding when I brush my teeth. Do me a favor by suggesting me.
Calculus as in stones deposited in gums results in swelling by irritating it and when there is inflammation there will be bleeding ofcourse. So you need to use a good mouthwash as recommended by a dentist and then go for scaling and polishing to remove the calculus. Once its removed then naturally the swelling and bleeding will stop.

Hi, pain can be due to some conditions like cavities, tooth abcess, gum disease and fracture of tooth. You may have caries or enamel erosion which is causing pain from cold and hot food. Go to a dental clinic to rule out the cause of pain. After that treatment plan can be decided.

My teeth was so dirty. Even I brush regular. But it will not clean. But there is no bad smell from my mouth.

My teeth was so dirty. Even I brush regular. But it will not clean. But there is no bad smell from my mouth.
• Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. • Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. • Reduce your alcohol consumption. • Stop smoking. • Cut down on coffee. • Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. • Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. • Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. • Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. • Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. • Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. • Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. • Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. • If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. • Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. • You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person.
