Sex is not measured by the quantity or no. of times one has indulge in it. Similarly no criteria of minimum or maximum. You can indulge in sexual activity as and when you both feel like. It's the pleasure n quality of sex matters and not the quantity or no. Indulgence in sex doesn't affect your health.

Hi, please follow these tips: 1. Drink 2-3 lts of water per day. 2. Consume lot of fibre in your diet like raw vegetabes, fruits, whole grains, oats. Etc. 3. Eat one fully ripe big banana at bed time. 4. Drink one glass of hot milk with one spoon of ghee in it at bedtime. 5. Take your food at regular intervals. Avoid spicy and oil fried food. 6. Never curb the urge to pass stools. 7. Never put in lot of pressure to pass stools. 8. Take 1tsf of isabgol powder with a glass of hot water at bedtime to get an easy evacuation. 9. Apply pilex ointment before and after passing stools. 10. Take tab arshonyt 1-1-1 for about a month and inform. 11. Do sitz bath twice daily.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Neck pain can be due to some degenerative changes taking place in her neck region. I can dvise her to do: - isometric neck exercises - hot water fomentation at home 3-4 times/day - local analgesic spray application 2-3 times in a day - take adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation if it does not improve in 2-3 weeks time, then we will have to get x ray cervical spine ap and lateral views and then you can send it across to me. As far as swellings go, usually they can be lipomas as found in a lot of people but get yourself checked up a general surgeon to rule out other swellings. Excessive sweating 1. Anxiety, nervousness 2 obesity, diabetes, thyroid problem, tuberculosis, gout, head injury 3. Alcoholism or due to effect of some anti hypertensive and psychiatric drugs (pregnancy, menopause) 4. Investigate yourself to rule out these diseases 5. Avoid anxiety, nervousness, tea/coffee, alcohol, spicy food, chocolate etc 6. Try some anti antiperspirant lotion or roll on 7. Consult skin specialist for advice.

What are the various tests that a t2 diabetic should do on a regular basis and what is the timeframe to be followed? this is for my mother who is on bedtime tresiba (8 units ave.) and also takes galvusmet 500/50 mg twice daily and amaryl 2mg twice daily.

First thing is to decide whether your sugar levels are controlled (within range) or not. - means that sugar fasting, post prandial should all be within normal range. This needs to be supplemented by hbaic test - done 3 monthly, to check preceding sugar levels. Again a baseline lft, kidney panel are a must and based on abnormal parameters in these tests, further course to be decided.

If the body temperature rises above 40 degrees C and the body loses the ability to cool down, it is considered heatstroke/sunstroke

Causes:

Exertional heatstroke
Nonexertional or classic heatstroke

In both cases, the effects of heatstroke can be exacerbated by wearing too much clothing, not replacing water lost to sweating and by drinking alcohol, which can affect the body's temperature regulation

Home Treatment for Heat Stroke

In order to treat a heat stroke a medical health care provider will focus on cooling your body so that it reaches its normal temperature as soon as possible. Some of the simple self-care steps that are advised in this case include:

  • Cold Water: It may become necessary to immerse your entire body in cold water or ice water so that your body temperature can be brought down as quickly as possible. You could do this by sitting in a bathtub filled with cold water for around 5 or 10 minutes.
  • Cooling Blanket: If it is not possible for you to sit in a bathtub, you could warp a special cooling blanket around yourself, after packing your groin area, neck, chest, and back with ice packs
  • Rehydrate your Body: You need to alleviate body temperature internally and externally and therefore, it is important that you drink a lot of water. Drinking extra fluids can help reduce the risks of dehydration.
  • Diet for Heat Stroke : Diet for heat stroke can help to prevent the problem to some extent.

Eat a high amount of fresh fruits and vegetables and especially those that have a cooling effect on the body and contain a lot of water

  • Avoid any food items that are high in salt, as excess sodium could hamper the regular production of sweat in the body
  • Drink an additional amount of fluids, like fresh juice or an energy drink as it could replenish the levels of water in your body
  • Consume some buttermilk, made from yogurt. Not only is this very cooling, but can also be great for the overall health.
  • Add healthy sources of protein to your diet, which mainly include nuts, pulses, and olive oil. This will steady your blood sugar levels, thereby preventing heat strokes.

Suggestion for Heat Stroke

First of all, choose your clothes carefully; opt for light fabrics in a loose fit, which will allow your skin to breathe. Moreover, if you are taking any medication, like antidepressants, antipsychotics, diuretics or beta blockers, it is best to check with your doctor, for additional precautions to prevent a heat stroke.

Hi, take complete bed rest. Avoid spicy and oily food for about 1 month. Drink plenty of fluids like water, tender coconut, fresh fruit juices, etc. Take tab. Arogyavardhini 1-1-1 after food and tab. Liv. 52 ds 1-0-1 and kumari asava 2 tsf 3 times a day with equal quantity of water. Take all these medicines for about a month and repeat the blood and urine examinations to assess the bilirubin levels.

How many types of influenza virus are there, why we get suffer from cold mostly when season changes.

There are four types of influenza viruses: A, B, C and D. Human influenza A and B viruses cause seasonal epidemics of disease almost every winter. The emergence of a new and very different influenza A virus to infect people can cause an influenza pandemic. Influenza type C infections generally cause a mild respiratory illness and are not thought to cause epidemics. Influenza D viruses primarily affect cattle and are not known to infect or cause illness in people. People seem to come down with a cold or the flu when the seasons change. But these dramatic temperature changes aren't the direct cause of these illnesses. Rather, the temperature shifts permit a different group of viruses to flourish, and it's these viruses that make people sick.

1) My left ear dum have hole. But the ear is dry for the past 3 years. Wil it cause any issue. 2) I have lower back pain urinating disc L4-S1. I started walking. Zym coach says it will cure automatically. Please advice. 3) I have stone 5.8 mm in left kidney. Its blocking urine. Its near tip of bladder. Due to that kidney got kettle swell. 1) karnapooran is good for ear perforaton according to ayurveda 2) spine problem need medicine & panchakarma procedures to cure. It will not heal by exercise or physio it just reduce some pain. We have spine health package. Tips1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar 3) kidney stone 1) avoid hard water to drink, drink sufficient boiled water or purified water only. 2) avoid fruits containing small seeds like tomato, guava, vegetables like brinjal, 3) duration to cure kidney stone is depends upon size, number of stone, position (kidney? urethra?). 4) do skipping exercise daily so that stone can come down to bladder. 5) drink sugar-cane juice without ice empty stomach or as possible. 6) take 4 crushed elaichi (cardamom) add 2 cup of water boiled to become half filter it, add 2 spoons of cow ghee take on empty stomach. 7) give feedback in 6 days. What are the symptoms of Dengue? And what measures should we take to prevent from this disease?

The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. -Use analgesics with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. -Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc.to prevent dehydration. -Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. -Use mosquito repellents/mosquito nets when indoors.

Some handy tips for prevention of swine flu.

1. Have five duly washed leaves of tulsi (known as basil in english) everyday in the morning. Tulsi has a large number of therapeutic properties.
2. Those who can take garlic, must have two pods of raw garlic first thing in the morning. To be swallowed daily with lukewarm water. Garlic too strengthens immunity like the earlier measures mentioned.
3. Those not allergic to milk, must take a glass of hot or lukewarm milk every night with a small measure of haldi (turmeric).
4. Aloe vera (kuwarpatha) too is a commonly available plant. Its thick and long, cactus-like leaves have an odourless gel. A teaspoon gel taken with water daily can work wonders for not only your skin and joint pains, but also boost immunity
5. Take homeopathic medicine -inflenzium 200
6. Do pranayam daily (preferably under guidance if you are already not initiated into it) and go for morning jog/walk regularly to keep your throat and lungs in good condition and body in fine fettle. Even in small measures, it will work wonders for your body's resistance against all such diseases which attack the nose, throat and lungs, besides keeping you fit.
7. Have citrus fruits, particularly vitamin c rich amla (indian gooseberry) juice. Since fresh amla is not yet available in the market (not for another three to four months), it is not a bad idea to buy packaged amla juice which is commonly available nowadays.
8. Last but not the least, wash your hands frequently every day with soap and warm water for 15-20 seconds; especially before meals, or each time after touching a surface that you suspect could be contaminated with flu virus such as a door handle or a knob/handle, especially if you have returned from a public place or used public transport. Alcohol-based hand cleaners should by kept handy at all times and used until you can get soap and warm water.
