Hi got married 4 years ago. But am TTC from past 7 months with no success! My hormone analysis report and my husband report is also normal. Previous month doc suggested me clomifene citrate 100 mg .And ultra sound scan predicted follicles are 19 mm and 17 mm on the day 11th. Doc gave me an HCG shot .But I failed to get pregnant. I don't know what's the reason behind this .Even though everything is normal.

Please note this is termed as unexplained infertility. Since it has been only 7 months that you have been trying and everything is fine for both of you , so you can try for another 3-4 months if you do not conceive then we would recommend IUI for you.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. Hormonal changes from monthly menstruation can trigger cysts as well as transient inflammation/ swelling of the breasts. However, breast cysts are usually benign. Usually, before the onset of menses, the breast tissue with the larger breast often tends to swell with some amount of tenderness/ pain. But, this is often temporary and resolves automatically. Should the pain be unbearable, you may apply an alternating heat and cold treatment for couple of minutes that may alleviate pain. Do stay well hydrated and take'amla churna' (patanjali) &'bael churna (patanjali- 1/2 tsp each with warm water, preferably before lunch daily for next 1 month. Simultaneously, keep your diet and lifestyle streamlined, you can take tomato soup to which fresh herbs like garlic, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, coriander leaves and oregano has been added, once daily. Just make sure that you keep at least 2 hours gap between any of your present allopathic medications and the natural remedies as suggested above. Its advisable that you check with your doc on how long he/ she wants you to continue with cabergoline medication. Hope this helps. Take care and all the very best. Sincerely,

My friend is 44yrs old. Had gone through a hysterectomy 8 yrs ago and removed one ovary due to fibroids. Now her doctor has asked her to remove the second ovary too due to a cyst which is around 7 cms and causes a lot of pain every time she ovulates. My question is will she loose her sex drive and will she be unable to have an orgasm? Her doctor has also said he won't put her on hrt. But natural pills for hormones.

yes, your sexual desire may change. That’s because both testosterone and estrogen, hormones that are important in sexual desire and intercourse, are produced in the ovaries. These glands produce about half of testosterone and nearly all of estrogen. While testosterone is thought to contribute mainly to desire, estrogen is important for healthy vaginal tissue, keeping it thick, moist and flexible. Without estrogen, vaginal tissue becomes drier and thinner, more likely to tear and lead to painful intercourse. While supplemental estrogen can prevent or minimize this, without it you may find the fear of pain prevents you from having sex. Many studies, however, show an improvement in sexual function after a hysterectomy. This is likely because the surgery eliminates the pain, bleeding or other symptoms that may have caused problems with sex. Also, the surgery eliminates the possibility of pregnancy, thus making sex more gratifying for some women.

Summer Heat - 5 Fruits That Can Beat It!

As the mercury levels soar higher, it is time to get creative to keep yourself cool this summer. To keep yourself hydrated and active, you can include fresh seasonal fruits in your daily diet. Here are some nutritious and refreshing fruits that help you in fighting the effects of the hot summer and health problems that accompany them:

  1. Melons - Watermelon has high water content that helps you to stay hydrated and refreshed during summer. Melons contain lycopene that helps in protecting the skin against sun damage. Muskmelon is another healthy summer fruit that helps to improve the body's immunity as it is rich in potassium, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin C.
  2. Oranges - A juicy orange is a perfect thirst quencher in the summer season. Orange is rich in all varieties of vitamins except vitamin K. Oranges contain a large amount of vitamin C, folate, and thiamin that provide natural protection against the harmful UV rays, help in increasing the production of red blood cells in your body and also reduce stress level. They also help in curing muscle pains and cramps. Beta-carotene, lutein, and cryptoxanthin are present in oranges that help to keep away infections and cancer and also protect the eye from macular degeneration.
  3. Mango - Rightly called the king of fruits, mango is loaded with high amounts of selenium, iron, and fiber. It is also an outstanding source of vitamins C, vitamin A and minerals like phosphorus, calcium, and potassium. The cholesterol levels in the body are lowered by high levels of vitamin C, fiber, and pectin. The potassium content of the fruit helps in controlling high blood pressure and heart rate. The fruit also has properties that help in boosting your immunity.
  4. Papaya - Papaya is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, and phytochemicals. These have anti-cancerous, anti-bacterial and anti-stress properties. Papain is an enzyme found in this fruit, which helps in curing indigestion and other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. The antioxidants present in papaya help in slowing down the ageing process in women, provide a fresh glow to the skin and help in weight loss.
  5. Grapes - Grapes help in losing weight by reducing the capacity of the cells to store more fat. Grapes also help in protecting the body against the damaging effects of radiation, cleansing your blood, preventing degenerative nerve disease and boosting cardiovascular health. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dietitian/Nutritionist.

Hello, the safe period is from day 3-day 11 in a 28-30 days cycle. Secondly on loosing virginity vaginal bleeding occurs due to rupture of hymen which stops naturally in 2-3 days. Thirdly in case of contraceptive failure or unprotected sex, in order to avoid pregnancy, emergency contraceptive is to be used within 72 hrs, offering 99% protection against pregnancy.

If you had unprotected sexual intercourse then there are chances of pregnancy. You can do urine pregnancy test at home and confirm. It is very rare being delayed by any kind of food.

Did You Know These 3 Interesting Habits Can Change Your Life For Good?

Did You Know These 3 Interesting Habits Can Change Your Life For Good?

Your habits have created who you really are. If you look at your habits, you can see how they act as building blocks that construct your true life. Many of you are unaware of the actions and thoughts you habitually commit each day. Scientific research suggests that the average person is only 5-20% consciously aware of the actions and habits they embrace each day. This means 80% or more of what we do is unconscious.

Most of the things you do in your daily life, you have no idea why you are doing them. Your habits eventually create something. The habits you embrace cause the effects you see.

  • The goal is to catch yourself.
  • The goal is to be awake and be aware of where you are spending your energy.
  • The goal is to create new habits that can build a new you.

If you are willing to take a conscious approach to creating new habits, you effortlessly transform your lives. Let’s release the old, toxic, unproductive habits and embrace new, empowering and positive ones for a better tomorrow. Having said that, given below are 3 powerful habits that can change your life for the better:

  1. Positive mental attitude: It is the most important habit that you can cultivate within yourself as it helps you to develop other life-changing habits in your life. While positive thinking will not make you instantly successful, it can help you gain the mental fortitude that you need to work hard and succeed. You must try to eliminate negative thoughts from your mind and focus on the positives in your life instead. It is one of the most valuable skills one can have.
    • How to do it: Keep a journal and maintain a log of negative thoughts that come to your mind and a positive thought with which you can replace it. Writing the positive thought will help you reinforce the message to yourself.
  2. Exercise: A healthy mind is not possible without a healthy lifestyle. You need to focus on your physical fitness and health to be able to keep a positive mindset. Developing a habit of exercising as frequently as possible is an awesome idea and to start small is the best way to go about it. Exercising and being fit allows you to be more confident about yourself, relieves stress. It also releases serotonin, which keeps you happy and positive.
    • How to do it: Prepare a schedule for yourself and allocate your free time judiciously to exercising.
  3. Be goal oriented: We all have goals that we need to achieve but running headstrong into all of them at the same time is actually bad for your progress. It is essential to focus only on one goal at a time to be able to achieve them fully. No matter how great of a multi-tasker you may be, focusing on multiple goals divides your energy, focus and makes you less effective than you could be.
    • How to do it: If you have set big goals for yourself, try to break them down into smaller manageable chunks and try to achieve them one at a time. Keep track of your progress at all times to know how far you have come and what you need to do to achieve your goals.

Remember, do not be disheartened if things do not work out for you initially. Instead of giving up, simply take a step back and re-evaluate what went wrong before going forward again. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
