Hi 1) wear comfortable sports shoes 2) make daily routine of exercise 3) rule out calcium and vit d deficiency 4) do proper warm up before exercise and cool down after exercise 5) do stretching of legs do exercise under supervision of skilled physiotherapist. Backache in young age is commonly due to 1. Muscle strain resulting from improper posture. 2. Intervertebral disc bulge or prolapse. Follow these to get relief. 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen round the clock for pain relief for 4 to 5 days. 2.Take rest for 3 to 4 days but avoid total bed rest. 4. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily once pain is relieved and continue these exercises. Daily walk is a good way to strengthen the spine. 5.Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6. Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. While sleeping on sides keep pillow between knees. 7. Do not bend and lift weights. 8. Avoid sitting on floor or sitting cross-legged or prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 9. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling, numbness or weakness, consult your doctor. You should also follow ergonomic measures during your daily life. Inform details of your backache and kind of work you do to guide you better regarding lifestyle changes. You should consult a pain specialist in your city for evaluation of your backache as they can identify your pain generator and treat accordingly. For further queries consult again.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Do sit in cushion whole chair to avoid pain continuously and do take ust and laser therapy for 12 days from neuro physio and learn pelvic floor strengthening exercise.

I am 26 year old gal. I am suffering from Ankolysing spondylitis for last 3 years now. I am currently taking homeopathy but the situation seems to be worsening more. Earlier the pain was only in the hip area but now it has extended in the legs as well. Using dexona 0.5 mg does help for sometime but there is no relief. While walking a fracture like feeling is there in the spine. Cannot stand for long. Even while travelling in trains if there is pressure on you there is extreme pain. Climbing stairs is painful. Sleeping is even worse. Even coughing and sneezing is problem. Able to use Indian toilet with a lot of difficulty. Pain increases during weekends with no extra activity. Please help. I want to get rid of this pain as it poses a lot of problem in my daily routine. Neither can walk nor jog nor do any other physical activity comfortably.

As you must be aware that with ankylpsing spon there is multiple joint involvement and especially spine. Also thoracic area involvement can cause tightness around chest and sometimes difficulty breathing. Consult a good orthopaedic physiotherapist for a comprehensive exs plan to stretch the tight muslces and loosen joints in spine, breathing exs and strengthening protocol. If you do the exercise daily it can improve your functional ability significantly. Good luck for fast recovery.

Dear Ashish. I have read your question and understand your concern regarding heel and Knee pain. You are just 34! You have plantar fascitis problem on both heels. You will need to do stretching exercises for calf, ankle and toe. There are special exercises which will help you. Along with this, contrast bath will be helpful. For knees, you need some medicines and Knee exercises. It may be because of unaccustomed posture. You will get relief with stretching of knees and some modification is sitting.

HI Dr. I am Saranjit Singh Sehgal age 62 years senior Citizen. I have pain in the back since from two year as I had a standing job for long hours as Manager in some reputed Sweets shop. I have got MRI done and other check up done. Report says compressive collapse fracture involving superior end plate of D12 vertebra likely osteoporosis. LS Spine, straightening Muscle Spasm. I have taken lot of medicines, physiotherapy plus exercises but still find it difficult to sit or sleep in one place for long time. Have acute pain doctors advice to walk or sit in right position. Bone test: First Metatarsal Head Right Foot 16 Heel 20. Medicines taken: Inj Voveran, Tab Mobizox. Tab Pan, Tab rantac, tramadol, Tab Gabapin, Tab Synaptolol, Tab Espran plus, Tab Calpep gold, Duke 60 K, Tab cal k2, Katadol 100, Canace, Es03 etc but still no relief. Kindly suggest the problem, treatment and best medicines so that I get relief. hiii your issue is quite complicated. It needs a lot of patience. You need to undergo physiotherapy for prolonged period. Meanwhile get exposed to sunlight for atleast 20 mins a day, have more of green leafy vegetables, egg, milk. Do not stop physio. Perform exercises along with physio. Hope you recover soon.

As your age is 25 years, chances of recovery in all your problems are better. You can opt for homeopathic treatment in which all your problems can be covered simultaneouslly. As due to slipped disc you cannot exercise which may cause weight gain, again your pcod increases weeight and if weight control is not done then pcod doesnot get cured easily. Better to treat your back pain and pcod along with diet management and breathing exercise as of now and once better with pain you will be able to exercise also. Dear lybrate user, kindly note that if you indulge in sexual relation after an interval of minimum 7 days then you are bound to discharge quickly during intercourse but that does not imply that you have any disease. It occurs due to loss of control of the muscles of penis. Normally it is seen that when a person does sexual intercourse daily he gains control over the muscles of penis & can stay longer during sex. You need to take homoeopathic mother tincture salix nigra q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water to get rid of premature ejaculation. But before taking any medicine kindly notice whether you are having a second erection within 15 minutes of ejaculation for the first time. If you are not experiencing any erection within 15 minutes of ejaculation then you are surely suffering from erectile dysfunction. There will be a change of medication in this case. To get rid of erectile dysfunction you need to take homoeopathic mother tincture agnus castus q q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Along with medicines you can also try a home therapy to boost your sexual performance. Soak 4-5 dry dates (khurma khajur) in a cup of lukewarm milk before going to bed daily. As a result you won't feel any slightest normal erection without taking sildenafil. This is an irreversible condition & it cannot be treated by any means. Once you attain this condition you become a life-time customer of that steroid sildenafil because you have to take sildenafil in order to satisfy your partner. As prevention is always better than cure I would advise you to check the composition of any sexual pills before buying. Discard any sexual pills which contains sildenafil in its composition. If you are suffering from premature ejaculation then along with medicine & home therapy you can try the kegel's exercise. You have to do this exercise once daily during the first time of urination after waking up from sleep at morning. Kindly note the following steps to perform the kegel's exercise:- 1) start urinating until you feel that you have voided almost half amount of urine from bladder. 2) when you feel you have voided almost half of the urine try to stop the flow of urine by squeezing the internal muscles of penis. 3) you should not use your hands to stop the flow. Your hands should be resting on your waist. You have to stop the urine only by your self control over the internal muscles of penis. 4) try to stop the urine flow by the control of internal muscles up to 20 seconds. On the very first day you won't be able to hold the urine for more than 3 seconds. However, practicing the exercise daily will improve your control over the muscles of penis & after 15-20 days you will be able to stop the urine for 20 seconds by the control of your pelvic muscles. This control of pelvic muscles will help you to get rid of premature ejaculation while you are performing sexual intercourse 5) after 20 seconds is over, void the rest of the urine. Do not stop the flow of urine for more than 30 seconds. N. P.- kegel's exercise is effective only in the case of premature ejaculation & it is not helpful for patients suffering from erectile dysfunction.

My mom is above 55 age. Her left leg is getting bent by the knee, Doctor its due to calcium. I do not know for sure, because lots of people her age suffer some or other pain in the leg kind of problem, please advise of the exact condition. Thanks.

Bent in leg can be due to spongy bones and this can be due to Vitamin -D and calcium deficiency and there are number of reasons for deficient calcium absorption in body and a few reasons are------ 1.Diet deficient in calcium 2.No proper sunlight intake 3.No calcium supplements intake after Menopause and after menopause calcium levels start depleting from body at a faster rate due to hormonal changes and this is the time when a woman should take extra care of her diet and supplements . So start taking a proper calcium and Vitamin-D diet but before this please go for following blood tests empty stomach immediately--------CBC,ESR,THYROID PROFILE,CALCIUM,VITAMIN-D.

.Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
