See lower back pain is due to many causes may be due to vitamin deficiency ,weight gain, or unbearable pressure on back. Do exercise regularly and have tab calcium daily in between meals and vit D sachet once in a week. Put pillows under your knees to relief back pain.

Hi, Dr. Sir, My age is 49 year , From 3days I am feeling pain backech from lower spinal joint. I can not stand properly. It will take 5 minutes time to stand properly and walk. from 15 days back I was suffering pain of premolar teeth and taken many antibiotics and pain killer finally teeth was removed. Is it side effect of those medition because I have not feel any problem in life. THANKS

frankly back and tooth pain are irrelevant but only possibility could be that as u have pain in joints and that indicates chronic bone loss so if it the case then sorrunding bone all over tooth also become less hence cause gum infection followed by pain and tooth removal. .

While playing cricket we throw balls but while throwing I don't feel power in that and after throwing the shoulder pains a lot for e.g. As if my should is cut down. That kind of pain. I thought of resting for a month will take care but still it has not and now it is being more than 2 months. Need help as to how I can get my shoulder working as normal.

Firstly you should start with active exercises for shoulder in slow motion. Do the strengthening exercises for all your muscles of the shoulder. Then you should do stretching and make sure you gradually progress to light weights. These are resisted exercises which will help you to build up strength. Shoulder is a very important joint in the body as it can perform a lot of movements. Do not ignore the exercises make sure you do these exercises everyday at twice a day. Infact a physiotherapist can help you to to train you with the exercises because your a player you do it the right way so that you can get back onto the field soon. Important notice kindly take rest during your sessions of exercises atleast for 10 days because doing the exercises can cause a little pain and then when you go back to the feild and play and exercises the pain will not reduce. Kindly follow the instructions. Thankyou.

I am suffering from severe to moderate knee pain from last 2 years. I visited my family Doc couple of times and he prescribed Glucosamine and Calcium Caps for 1 months but it didn't work. After small research in glass I found that Diacerein 50 mg would be more helpful. I would I to know the dosage and another substitute medicine besides Diacerein.

Diacerein. The recommended starting dose is 50 mg once daily with evening meal for the first 2 to 4 weeks of treatment, after which the recommended daily dose is 50 mg twice daily. The treatment should be taken with food, one with breakfast and the other with evening meal. The capsules must be swallowed intact, without opening them, together with a glass of water.

Dislocated Shoulder - How It Can Be Treated?

Have you met with an accident recently and ended up with a dislocated shoulder? In this form of injury, a blow or any kind of injury causes the top portion of your arm bone to come off your shoulder socket. In extreme cases of a dislocated shoulder, the nerves and tissues surrounding your shoulder are damaged. If you experience a dislocated shoulder frequently, it may lead to chronic weakness and instability.

Treatment
It is important for you to treat a dislocated shoulder right after it is experienced. Your arm bone needs to be moved back into your shoulder socket. As the dislocated joint starts swelling up even more and causes more pain, immediate treatment is necessary. After the arm bone is placed back into the socket, pain gets relieved to some extent. After the repositioning of the shoulder bone, you need to apply certain treatment measures.

They are as follows:

  1. Apply ice to your shoulder for reducing the swelling and pain. You need to do this every day for 20 to 30 minutes. Carry out this therapy for around 3 days and repeat it after every four hours in a day.
  2. You should use a shoulder immobiliser or a sling in order to prevent any further injury until medical treatment is received.
  3. You may take certain painkiller medicines. These may include NSAIDS or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. They help in dealing with the pain and swelling associated with your dislocated shoulder. However, these medicines are associated with some side effects. You should not take such medications for extended periods without consulting your doctor.
  4. You need to carry out various strengthening exercises, along with stretching.
  5. In major cases, the above-mentioned treatment measures bear success and deal with your dislocated shoulder and its symptoms. In some intense cases, a surgery may be required.
  6. Sometimes, a surgery a for dislocated shoulder is required in order to repair your torn ligament. After such a surgery, you will be required to keep your arm hanging in a sling for around two months.
  7. In some severe and extreme cases of a dislocated shoulder, a surgery is carried out for correcting the position of your bones. In cases of recurring dislocated shoulder, a surgery for tightening the tendons surrounding your joints is essential.

The rate of recovery from a dislocated shoulder depends upon the seriousness of the injury. A dislocated shoulder may require a time of 3 weeks to 12 weeks for recovery and the recovery rate varies from person to person. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I am 73 years old. I have ligament tear problem it is proving difficult to walk because of imbalance while walking. I have really no pain and less stability in left knee joint. Some orthopedic doctors say osteoarthritis is setting in, and some say ligament tear is there and better to do ortho scopy. Key hole surgery ihave x-rays and ct scan done.

Well, for ligament injury, arthroscopy surgery is done and ligament is reconstructed. At 73, I would prefer not to do this as results in this age are not known. Usually this surgery is done in younger and more active population. For you, it would be appropriate to use donjoy knee brace for acl tear. Perform hamstring strengthening exercises and you would be good.

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
