I am suffering from sciatica pain in my left leg which I think gets aggravated both with mental n physical stress and reduces my overall energy level to stretch. Would like to know is it curable and what are the options.

The best ayurveda herb for your case is heat 2-4 tablespoons of mustard oil. Fry 2-3 cloves of crushed garlic and a spoonful of pounded omum seeds in it. Cool it to a bearable temperature. Filter and use it to massage a painful joint. Causes compression of the spinal nerve due to ruptured vertebral disc in the spine. Contraction of the piriformis muscle, which may lead to strangulation of the nearby sciatic nerve, resulting in pain. Faulty posture such as slumping on a chair, sleeping in a curved position. Injury that hurts the lower back region can be a triggering cause for sciatic pains. This will help with your concern.

Knee exercises.

My Brachial plexus (C7, C8, T1) is operated one and half year ago but results are not good. My right hand is still not working like normal actions. So pls suggest me anything by which I regain power for doing normal actions like exercise or anything.

Ya please start with strengthing exrcises for the hand without weights. Just tske arm in 1 position nd hold it fr 10-15 secs slowly increase the frequency.

Hi doc, I having muscle pain in my legs from last 2 months. This specially bothers me when I am on bed for sleep. I could not understand the reason. Can any one of you advice me.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

I had swelling in my back neck just below the head from a month I had also some pain when I used to rotate my neck like cramp pain give me some suggestion.

Hello lybrate user, judging by your symptoms I will advocate you to consult and get your cervical spine x-ray and mri if possible done. There can be many causes if such pain associated with swelling in the neck region. Look out for any tingling sensation or numbness and weakness in the body, fever, weight loss. God bless you.

Knee pain. I am trying to lose my weight and now I reduced 10 kg. Still knee is paining v.much. No strength to climb the stairs.

Congratulations for embarking on the healthy way and loosing 10 kgs. You should start specific exercises for the knee which focus on strengthening your quadriceps and hamstrings. Avoid stair climbing /squatting and sitting cross legged. Do swimming and cycling instead. You may need Cartilage supplements based on further evaluation. Regards.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Hi i am 64 years running, when press my left leg thumb on floor I feel something'jhanjhanahat' since last 01 yr. I am regularly having routine check up (at least twice or thrice in a year) of blood sugar-fasting & pp, serum electrolytes, creatinine, lipid profile, uric acid, serum psa, urine routine exam, u/s whole abdomen but all the test are negative and good, except sometime uric acid is just cross the average limit. Pl. Let me know what is the symptom of feeling'jhanjhanahat' in my left leg thumb only. Please help

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There could be many reasons for this, actually this sensation is what we call as paraesthesia and signifies nerve irritation/compression somewhere along the course right from lower back to compartments around ankle. My advise will be for 2-3 weeks try with physical therapy (tens as a modality), you can initiate with small dose of gabapentin or pregabalin and vitamin b 12 and see whether there is any improvement in symptoms in 10-15 days time or not? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I am facing numbness in Hand fingers and foot finger that to if I sleep more or in the mid day, I face this problem took B12 Injection for 2 months & Vitamin D tablets, it was ok after stopping the medicine and after 3 moths again started slowly, How to cure this without medicine ?

Due to the lack of vitamin b12 in your body this problem arises.Kindly go for fruit juices(Vit C juices) and spinach juices(Add tea spoon of sugar for spinach juices and consume it everyday.Dip your hands and foot inside mug full of bucket of lukeworm water atleast 15 min for two weeks regularly.This will reduce the numbness.

A small percentage of patients can have ankylosing spondlylitis with a negative hlab27 test. The final diagnosis depends on the doctor's expert opinion based on your symptoms, clinical examination and blood tests, not exclusively by blood test alone.

I am 43 years old women having two children, working in a compay. For past 6/7 months, more tiredness in the morning as soon as get up from bed and not feeling freshness. Eyes also doesnot look fresh in morning. The pain appears especially in shoulders and back hip more. Also appears in knee, legs. Carrying out regular jobs in morning becoming very tough in office as well as in home. Is any home remedy available? or please suggest how to come out this problem. I am mentally down with this situation.

Kindly show me digital x rays of chest & ls spine rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
