Hi lybrate-user, if you have discomfort then you can plan to take out nail but even if it's inside tibia it won't have any problem, rod need to be taken out if pain, screw irritating skin or any complication had occur and I tell you removing nail and screw are much difficult then your primary surgery, if you want to remove rod and screw thn it's the right time to take it off as by this time fracture completely unite won't be any problematic if you try after more year then there will be possibility of nail zamming then difficult to remove.

For good sleep, just try out these simple ways - 1. Stick to a sleep schedule- Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle. If you don't fall asleep within about 20 minutes, leave your bedroom and do something relaxing. Read or listen to soothing music. Go back to bed when you're tired. Repeat as needed. 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink - Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. In particular, avoid heavy or large meals within a couple of hours of bedtime. Your discomfort might keep you up. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. 3. Create a restful environment - Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs. Doing calming activities before bedtime, such as taking a bath or using relaxation techniques, might promote better sleep. 4. Limit daytime naps - Long daytime naps can interfere with nighttime sleep. If you choose to nap, limit yourself to up to 30 minutes and avoid doing so late in the day. 5. Include physical activity in your daily routine - Regular physical activity can promote better sleep 6. Manage worries - Try to resolve your worries or concerns before bedtime. Stress management might help. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Meditation also can ease anxiety. Identifying and treating any underlying causes can help you get the better sleep you deserve. Take medicine, Passiflora Q, 20 drops in half cup of water, 2 hours before your normal sleeping time If above things doesn't help you, then consult us for homeopathic medicines CAUSES OF LOSS OF SLEEP - There are many causes like - Nasal or sinus allergies, Gastrointestinal problems such as reflux. Endocrine problems such as hyperthyroidism, stress, Arthritis, Asthma. ,Neurological conditions, Chronic pain, Low back pain, etc and many other causes.

I belongs to indore (mp) .my wife (50) has symptoms of fibromyalgia since 3 years. I want to know best treatment of it. Homeopathic/ayurvedic/alopathic, pl. Suggest best doctor in indore/mumbai/delhi etc. With address. At present taking homeopathic treatment with Rhus tox 200. Alopathic treatment does not suit, due to reaction of medicine like lack of appetite, no stomach clean and wants to sleep whole day.

Bachelor of physiotherapy
Physiotherapist, Gurgaon
There is no known cure of fibromyalgia but physiotherapy and ayurveda may help ease the symptoms of pain. It can also help reduce stiffness and fatigue. In addition to exercise, physical therapists use a wide range of resources -- from deep tissue massage to ice and heat packs for hydrotherapy. And with this use twin stem sachet, guggal/suth, rise onn syrup, salakhi, polytos, and alovera ayurvedic medicine. Both of all reduce pain and disease and improve mobility and daily activity of living. And you find better asap.

All autoimmune disease can co-exist. It's not uncommon to find UC and RA together, as both are autoimmune diseases. If you have flare-ups (of colitis or arthritis ?) you should consult your rheumatologist or gastroenterologist accordingly. There are many other drugs to help you. I don't think weight gain has anything to with Saaz, though the everybody's body is different. More often than not, your better colitis control might have led you to gain weight, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Not sure if you're getting steroids too intermittently. Best wishes.

I am psoriatic arthritis patients. Suffering from past 8 yrs. I am on lefno (10 mg) and saaz (1 mg) and I have experienced small red spots on my hands and face is it the side effects of these tablets or should I need to consult a dermatologist.

DM - Rheumatology, MD - General Medicine
Rheumatologist, Mumbai
Very difficult to say its drugs, unlikely because of such long-term use. Usually, these drugs cause rashes at the start. Would be better to show dermatologist who can think of alternative rather than blaming drugs, which is very easy to do and stop. But before stopping drugs please consult your rheumatologist too. Best wishes.

Advice... Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Acl injuries are treated by surgery only So go for arthroscopic surgery If you do not get operated now then after few years your knee will get arthritis and you ll require knee replacement surgery so do not take this problem lightly.
