Hi, I am 17 years old, of course I'm male, My problem is that when I work in pc or any electronic device then I feel a short term pain in my head and falling the tears in my eyes. What I do?

FICO, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Gandhinagar
Hi. I have a few suggestions for you regarding the usage of computers. Follow the rule of" 20" this means that every 20 minutes, take a gap of 20 seconds, blink your eyes actively 20 times and focus at an object which is minimum 20 feet away. This will help in relieving your eyes from the continuous strain that is caused due to staring. Staring at the computer continuously causes us to subconsciously blink less than normal. This causes the tear film on the surface of the eye to dry up. The result of this is pain, discomfort, etc. Another suggestions regarding the usage of computers is to maintain a proper posture. The computer must be positioned at the same height as your eye level. The neck should not be inadvertently flexed or extended. Roughly, an angle of 90 degrees should be maintained between your upper body and thighs. Likewise, a similar angle (90 degrees) should be maintained between your lower legs and thighs. Also the angle between your hands and arms should be roughly 90 degrees. This is the healthy ergonomic way of sitting while using a computer. Maintenance of proper posture would help in further relieving the symptoms of eye discomfort and pain. All these suggestions may take a while to sink in and imbibe in your routine. Once followed, they are sure to work wonders for you. Also you could use a preservative free lubricant drop for the eyes (3-4 times a day). This will aid in keeping your eyes moist. Hope my suggestions help you. Take care. Cheers.

1.Make sure that you have a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and mix it in with a cup of warm water. 2.Place the solution that you have created on the affected area and wash it thoroughly. Do not wipe the area and let it dry on its own. 3.Do this about 2 – 3 times a day every day. It will help get rid of the jock itch in no time.

I am 31 years old, male, having pain in left side of body, chest for last 10 days. Before 1.5 years same problem was there, that time I did mri. But every thing was fine. Vitamin d3. Was low. After some day pain gone. But now again it comes, now ask to general physician, he told that may be same problem this time. But I wanted to know really only because of d3 difficency left side pains. Shall I show to neurologist for the same. Please suggest.

MBBS, DGO (cal)
General Physician,
What is your vitamin d3 level? if anyone say you have low d3 level, ask him what is the authentic lower level of d3 accepted in the world of medicine? my say is don't bother about your vitamin d3. It has nothing to do with your pain. You can't have pain in your entire left half of the body. I can't identify any disease that can have such pain! don't worry about that. You start doing brisk walking - 30 minutes daily followed by free hand physical exercise regularly. Start taking some supplements that may help or at least shall do no harm to you - 1) neurokind od - 1 tab daily after bf and 2) shelcal 500 - 1 tab daily just before breakfast. Both for 15 days to 1 month. I am just giving you these medicine as I am unable to see you, I don't think you shall have any problem if you don't take it. Your body weight is perfect if your height you wanted to mean is 5' 11. Do some meditation regularly. Well visiting neurologist is not a bad option. At list it can be authenticated that you don't have any disease.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. What is your occupation at present? Well, your BP is still within normal limits. The increase in systolic pressure could be transient, mostly because of diet/ lifestyle issues including stress at study/ work. For the time being, I would advise you to check your dietary habits, especially cut down on salt, and other greesy/ oily & fatty foods including fast foods. A Mediterranean diet is advisable. Stay well hydrated too. Ensure that you streamline your lifestyle, with adequate room for relaxation and de-stressing. Also, you need to streamline your occupational aspect as well to reduce stress at work/ study. Hope this helps. You can always meet up a general physician for clinical evaluation should you not feel well still, despite having taken the above-mentioned measures. Do take care, and all the very best. Sincerely

Your TSH level is within normal range and you need not worry about anything related with Thyroid. The feeling in the throat and around it is more subjective, hence neglect it. Continue with the dose as prescribed.

I am suffering from headache last two weeks. So please suggest which medicine I take in that problem.

MBBS, MD - Anaesthesiology, FIPM
Pain Management Specialist, Pune
Take analgesics like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen for relief. You need to undergo evaluation with deatils of your headache pattern to find out the cause of your headache. The above medicine will just relieve your headache but not treat the underlying cause. Follow these lifestyle changes to avoid headache 1. Maintain regular sleep wake cycle, even on holiday's. 2. Don't skip meals. Take regular healthy diet with adequate fluids 3. Do not consume excess caffeine / carbohydrates / alcohol or smoke. 4. Exercise daily ( aerobics and cardiovascular) 5. Identify your headache trigger and try to avoid it. Headache can be due to many reasons. Common causes being simple tension headache, headache due to refractive error (visual problems), sinusitis ( sinus infections), migraine. Get your vision checked first. If you have sinusitis and headache you will have cough, nasal discharge or fever. Consult an ENT specialist in such cases. In simple tension headaches there is tight band like constriction at forehead. It will be relieved by simple analgesics and rest. Migraine headache is characterised by nausea, vomiting, intolerance to light and sound, throbbing headache. For migraine you need to take preventive medicines and make lifestyle changes.

Plz tell me what are the symptoms of dengue and what are the precaution to save from dengue.

Certificate in Basic Course on Diabetes Management, CCEBDM Certificate in Diabetes, MBBS
General Physician, Pune
Dengue starts as any other common viral fever with headache, bodyache, high fever, joint pains and sometimes rash all over body. If symptoms are severe beyond 3-4 days even after regular symptomatic treatment you should see a Physician for clinical examination and related blood tests and diagnosis. Mostly it gets cured. However sometimes in small children old and those with chronic ailments develop complications like hemorrhagic type or shock syndrome and are very serious in nature. Early detection and Hospitalisation is necessary for intensive treatment.

I am suffering from acne marks problem . When acne pump on face they leave black or radish marks . What can I do for this marks.

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
For scar do this =squeeze the lemons to take out the fresh juice in a bowl. Add the honey to this lemon juice and mix well. Dip the cotton ball in this mixture. Now apply this mixture on your cotton ball to whole of your face or the area where you have acne scars. Leave for about 10-15 minutes. Wash off with water and pat dry. For 10 days after 10 days revert me for further treatment.
